Nancy (paper_addict) We have another giveaway for one paperback signed copy of The Unusual Second Life of Thomas Weaver by Shawn Inmon.

The Unusual Second Life of Thomas Weaver (Middle Falls Time Travel, #1) by Shawn Inmon

Time Travel with a twist!

All Thomas Weaver wanted was death. What he got was time travel.

Thomas Weaver, haunted by a teenage tragedy, lived a wasted life. He closed his eyes for what he believed was the last time in 2016, but opened them again in his teenage bedroom and body in 1976.

Now a middle-aged man in a teenage body, he sets out to fix everything he did wrong in his first life. A budding serial killer in home room, a possible new romance, and high school algebra complicate his plans.

The Unusual Second Life of Thomas Weaver is the first in the bestselling Middle Falls Time Travel Series.

Rules:

1) Add the book to your to-read shelf.

2)Answer the following question - “ What if you woke up as a teenager with all your memories of this life intact. Would you be able to fix anything and everything that went wrong with your life?”

Contest closes July 3rd.

The giveaway is for a single signed paperback book to one lucky winner anywhere in the world. Winner must be able to provide their mailing address via a PM to the author to receive their book.

Anotherpath4 | 5 comments WoW! As a middle aged woman, as a lover of the past, along with alternate realities, I've thought about this. Redo is an important and difficult choice. I think it would actually create and new set of problems. "Problems" are part of this world's landscape. I'm actually glad this isn't something I need to worry about...let's hope at least!

Dan | 62 comments I think that I could at least change and improve some of the errors that I made. I am thinking in particular about my interactions with girls/young women. I knew next to nothing about how best to interact with them when I was a teen (although I am not sure that I do now). Would the knowledge I have now lead to a different set of problems? Perhaps. But I think it depends on what I was trying to achieve. If I only used that knowledge to smooth out some of the bumps, it might have just reduced some teenage angst.

Billy Thomas | 2 comments Very interesting storyline!

Mike | 3 comments I'd avoid putting my foot in my mouth a few times, but I don't have any great tragedy in my teens to avoid. I'd mostly just enjoy the renewed health, I imagine.

Heather(Gibby) (heather-gibby) | 469 comments If I woke up in my teens, I think I would take my schooling a lot more seriously. I got through with mostly B's, and was able to do that with minimal effort. I would also take a lot more time with my grandparents and great aunts and uncles to make sure I understand our family history with more clarity.

and my biggest regret,,, I would attend the 16th birthday party my mom planned for me, but I decided to skip!

Heidi | 9 comments I'd be able to fix almost everything that's gone wrong. Some things can't be changed no matter how much you know, but I would make so many different decisions, particularly about career and men. I think that's why I love the whole time travel genre so much - I'm always dwelling on my bad choices and it would be so wonderful to actually be able to do something about it!

message 9: by Cheryl (new)

Cheryl (cherylllr) I have survived most of the mistakes I've made well enough, I think.
I'm a little curious about what other choices I could have made, but I don't think I'd want to live an extra 40+ years to find out!

Brett Hodnett (bretthodnett) | 4 comments In one sense, I don't think I'd change anything. I feel that things turned out pretty well and I'm sure that my expectations of what would happen if I changed something would be wildly wrong. That being said, if I got to live through those decades again, I'd probably take advantage of the fact that I kept my memories of this current life, and try to live a completely different next life. Why not get to have two lives!

message 11: by Tim (new)

Tim | 1 comments I try not to think too much about regret or bad decisions. Those all make you what you are. In hind sight there were 2 business decisions I would do differently. But nothing else.

NancyMagaly | 2 comments Woohoo! Sounds great! Looking forward to adding this one to my TBR. Good luck everyone

Karen | 2 comments I Love my children! If I had a better marriage, my life would have been better. I was brought up sheltered, did not date much and the first guy that loved me for who I am, I would be in a better place. Let's just say I would have picked a better father for my children and a career I could retire and enjoy!

Shawn Inmon | 21 comments Greetings! This is Shawn Inmon, the author of the Middle Falls Time Travel Series.

I pulled the name of the winner for the free paperback, and it is NancyMagaly.

I know best practice is to message her directly, but when I tried, I got a message saying this account isn't accepting messages. If Nancy doesn't see this, would someone who knows her let her know to reach out to me?

In the post, I said it was a giveaway of "The Unusual Second Life of Thomas Weaver," which is the first book in the Middle Falls Series. However, there are eighteen books in the series and I have all of them in stock.

Nancy, if you'd prefer a different book in the series just let me know when you send me your mailing address. Congratulations!

Lizz Taylor | 218 comments Congrats! I really enjoyed this series. I read the first three books which all had different perspectives. Each can be read as a stand alone but the first one really sets the series off perfectly. I am looking forward to your review Nancy!

message 17: by Avery (new)

Avery Duffy | 3 comments I haven't finished the series but The Middle Falls Time Travel Series: where time-traveling middle-aged protagonists get a do-over on their high school years, minus the acne but with all the algebra. It's like "Freaky Friday" meets "Quantum Leap," sprinkled with just enough teen drama to make you nostalgic for detention.
