I'm picking up my copy of Kingdom of the Wicked this Saturday and I also can read "Anyway the wind Blows" and "Twisted Lies" but all three books more towards the middle of the month.

I didn't fully understand the rules can someone please explain in a simpler way? Also can we use the planned buddy reads for July in this because if so I am planning on reading on the 2nd and on the 13th if anyone would like to join.

You can earn points for the pages read in the month of July (1st-31st). Books you started before July and unfinished books can be used as long as you read the minimum page count in said book.
The minimum page counts needed for page points are:
~ Adult/YA without illustrations = 50 pages
~ Middle-grade/children's books without illustrations = 75 pages
~ Manga, graphic novels, plays, poetry, and books written in verse = 150 pages
-- Books which are mainly illustrations, such as some children's books, picture books, and some non-fiction books etc. cannot be used as part of this challenge.
When posting, specify which category your book falls into. Books may be added together to reach these minimums, as long as all books are under the minimum.
Books can be chosen by the reader. Please check with us before reading if you are unsure whether your book counts or not.
Book samples may be used to earn page points but must have a page count published on either Goodreads or Amazon to count.
We request that you leave us a link to the edition with the page count that you are using if the book has multiple editions with different page counts.
You are welcome to read physical books, ebooks, and audiobooks for this challenge, and you are also welcome to read in any language.
A review or 4 detailed updates will be required for each book read.
Please do not wait and then post masses of reviews all at once. This is not fair on your team or the mods who have to count the reviews. We will limit you to no more than 10 reviews in any one 24-hour period. If you post more than 10, they will not be counted. Reviews posted after the end of the challenge will also not be counted.
Re-reads are allowed in this challenge, no matter how long it has been since you read the book. We do ask that you write a new review (or status updates) and recommend that you post on your review '2023 re-read', or something to that effect so that we can easily see what your new review is.

When starting a new buddy read, you must have a buddy before making or requesting a buddy read thread.
Buddy reads must have a minimum of 4 comments to count, and comments must be detailed, and about the book. We also expect you to discuss the book with your buddies, not just post updates and leave. Comments must also be different from your review or status updates. If your buddy read comments and your review or status updates are identical, then you will not receive points for both until they contain different details.
You should not start a buddy read more than 7 days before the start date, or more than 14 days after the start date, or the last comment on the thread, whichever is later. If you do need to change the date, check with your buddy as they may also be able to start early/late with you.

If you continually schedule buddy reads and fail to post them on the planned buddy reads thread for the correct month, then we won't continue to give buddy read points. This is because it is important that everyone is given the opportunity to join.

You are welcome to start the challenge on the 1st of the month in your own time zone, but you must also finish the challenge on your own time zone. Please let us know if you are doing this, as Goodreads may time-stamp your books as being started on the last day of the previous month.
The challenge will start at 00:01 on July 1st 2023 PST, and end at 00:01 on August 1st 2023 PST.

The only date I know for sure is that I want to read Once Upon a Broken Heart on July 13th. I would also prefer if the other dates could be early July.

Planning on reading Cinder (Marissa Meyer) and Three Dark Crowns (Kendare Blake) sometime this month; I don't have set dates for either but would appreciate buddies... the only dates I think I have buddy reads scheduled for are 13th and (hard maybe) the 2nd. Each book may take me 3-ish days to read or less, as a fast reader.

It would be 11 points. Here's the scoring chart for YA/Adult books:

YA/Adult Books (without illustrations) - *1 point per 50 pages*
*50 - 99 pages = 1 points
*100 - 149 pages = 2 point
*150 - 199 pages = 3 points
*200 - 249 pages = 4 points
*250 - 299 pages = 5 points
*300 - 349 pages = 6 points
*350 - 399 pages = 7 points
*400 - 449 pages = 8 points
*450 - 499 pages = 9 points
*500 - 549 pages = 10 points
*550 - 599 pages = 11 points
*600+ pages = 12 points
(Maximum of 12 points per book)

You can use the edition with the highest page count too.

Working my way through The Body Finder series, but little reading time during July.

Im almost 50% through , and am working on one from last month. I have been slow because yesterday was my birthday and today we are having a party for 4th of July. Im hoping to catch up tomorrow when my hubby goes back to work.

I was gonna start a BR today but forgot my library is closed. hopefully I'll get it by Thursday. I'm gonna pick up raven boys meanwhile. I have that book. I requested body finder from the library it says in transit. so I'll start it as soon as I get it.
