What did you think of NYPD. I have looked at that one a few times but haven’t committed yet.

I have been reading the NYPD series as I have liked Karp ever since he did the Rabbit Factory prior to his association with Patterson. I found the series to be solid.

This is on the light side, but the plots are good and the characters are interesting.

Nice month Dan. I enjoyed City of Dreams. I’m looking forward to the next one (thinking it is intended to continue?) Good to hear about Karp’s NYPD7

we hosted don winslow when city of dreams was released. he's a really nice man. i didn't get to hear most of his talk because I was in another room but everyone who was there said it was great.

Ann, the 3rd (and final book) is City in Ruins.

Sherry, Winslow was at the Poisoned Pen in Scottsdale recently, but I wasn’t in town.

I read the first NYPD Red a few years back and liked it, but never got around to reading the second one because the library chose then and there to repair their copy, lol. I got the feeling that it was written in such a way to make it appealing as a potential TV show. I could have seen it on ABC or NBC.

Jason, Marshall Karp does a lot of tv work.

Marshall Karp was writing this kind of book before he teamed up with Patterson. If anything, the books were toned down when they became NYPD Red.
