Welcome to this month's Hidden Gems challenge!

Hidden Gems is a fantastic way to plow through those mountains of books claiming space in your house or e-reader. I have found that this challenge produces some fun group interaction as well, because someone else chooses which book you’ll read next.

If you sign up, you'll be matched up with a Hidden Gems partner. You will choose a book from the list your partner designates which you have already read and cannot believe your partner hasn’t read yet. Your partner will do the same for you with the list you designate. The point is to find that “Hidden Gem” that you think they’ll love… because you adored it when you read it!

Let us know which books you choose for each other. When you finish reading your gem, let us know what you thought about it. Perhaps your Hidden Gem might find its way to someone else’s wish list!

Match-ups will be created on the 10th of the month. Please choose books for each other by the 13th.

Hi Jenn - there were 3 books on your shelf that I have read and many books we both want to read.

The 3 books are:
- this was my first and only read by Karen Witemeyer - it was very enjoyable and a quick read.
- this was a 5 star read for me and hooked me on Irene Hannon. The rest of the series is great too.
- this was another 5 star read for me and I quickly read the rest of the series afterwards. If you like Lynette Eason - it's a great read from her.

2 books we have in common that I also picked are: (since it's July)

Of the choices I gave Staci, she's picked The Haven , and of the choices she gave me, I'm going with Beauty Among Ruins .

Thanks, Sarita! I've got The Wishing Season held at the library (needs to come in still), because I ran out of renewals. Editing has been really busy lately! So I'll choose that as well as Targeted this round. I've been craving an Eason story lately, and I believe that's the next one in the list I'm behind on. I'll have to double-check that, though.

Since we are currently on an RV caravan touring Alaska - I'll go with . Alaskan Courage is one of the series I hope to finish for this month's challenge too!

Agree - every place we've seen grabs us more than the last! We are currently in Denali.
