Review:

Ripley is such an interesting character, which is what makes these books so fun to read. He is a straight psychopath and his views of life are so interesting. In his "game," he sets out to get revenge by playing a mean little prank on a man who snubbed him at a party, and the results are completely unexpected. Definitely not disappointed by this one!

I will read Scanguard Vampires, Book 6. (260 pages per GR)

I love the series too. i think the next book has a new model. I don't like these young looking Kate.

Book: Quinn's Undying Rose (Scanguard Vampires #6)
Read: 3/20
Rating & Review: 2-stars.
This one was disappointing. So Quinn's wife Rose, who has been dead for two centuries apparently isn't dead. She contacts Quinn because she needs his help to save the great, great, great, great, great, great grandchild he never knew he had.

Someone has some explaining to do, except she won't do it until her Blake is safe. Quinn is enraged but Rose offers Scanguard a million dollars to protect Blake. In addition, Quinn needs answers as to why his wife has been lying to him and hopefully it will help him find closure in a marriage that seemingly has no meaning for her.

This one wasn't believeable. The reason Rose gave for was so inadequate that I thought Quinn should have found it insulting. 200 years should have made her wiser but she is still a woman who kept her own counsel and NEVER trusted him even here after he proved himself to her. I didn't like Rose nor did I feel their chemistry. This one was a let down and Quinn forgave her way to easily. I suspect that he felt lonely especially watching Zane, Amaury, Gab and everyone else with their bonded mates. So Quinn settled for a woman who doesn't trust him enough to share her secrets.

If you enlarge the brown cover, you will see a gun in his right hand so it works!!

Yes about the cover, the gun just wasn't as clear as in my edition. :-)

It's 4:40am on Saturday so you have about 17hrs-ish.

Review:
This was better than I expected. Spy fiction is not a genre I read very often. But this was a lot about Boysie Oakes, the Liquidator, as well. I will not reveal his secret here but it was quite a funny twist. Not bad for a spy novel and it was clear most of the book who was the enemy spies and who was the friendly and it was also humorous.

Was the movie good? Hmmm, I liked it better than Mockingjay, but some of the action sequences were too computerized for my tastes. But it followed the books somewhat. I saw Tobias, so I'm good!

I just don't like overly computerized graphics--things that look so fake to me. I like stunts that look super hard but humanly. Some of that stuff Tris was doing was like "yeah right, you couldn't even defeat the guy choking you to death". But I liked the progression of the story. Four was still himself.

I thought Peter had a breakout performance as a character in this one.

So I haven't read the books but I like this actor so - looking forward to it.
If you haven't seen Whiplash.... he and the instructor were really good. Kind of hard to watch but man they gave great performances.
