Three betrayed women with revenge in common channel their fury in a twisting novel of psychological suspense by the Amazon Charts bestselling author of Jane Doe and False Step.
A women’s boxing class is the perfect place for betrayed wife Katherine to work out her aggressions. Ideal, too, for Geneva, a teacher disgraced and ruined by a vengeful ex, and Luz, a software engineer battling an unjust system. Maggie, their instructor and mentor, guarantees she can right the wrongs they’ve endured. And if Katherine, Geneva, and Luz really want to unleash their rage, they must do what Maggie says.
Each woman’s secret task has its risks. Call it justice. Call it revenge. It’s bound to be worth it—if no missteps are made. As they take the leap to reclaim what they’re owed, their lives are turned upside down. Because no one could have guessed that it would all end in murder.
Now, coming together to harness their power, Katherine, Geneva, and Luz fear that the game they’ve been playing is playing them.
wow (view spoiler)[ I didn't expect her to be a part of her husband getting caught. But how awful, the mom AND the daughter!? thank goodness she's gotten away
for a moment there, I was worried that Maggie had actually orchestrated Sveta being sent away but then BOOM! Luz's co-worker pretty much confesses!? That co-worker deserves everything he gets! What a complete jerk!
and Geneva - I feel really bad for her. What a horrible situation to be in! (hide spoiler)]
Wow (view spoiler)[ so I don't blame Katherine but she's really losing it. she could have played that off, having been with him but not having killed him but she's coming unraveled, contacting all of them, sneaking MORE secrets and now researching and tying them all together
and Maggie, silly silly maggie. She didn't keep them separate or not tied to her at all. They are casually meeting each other and guessing at what's going on. Yikes.
I'm a little nervous about what Peter stole out of Katherine's room too. and I don't think it's good, whatever it is. Proof tying to Brad? Proof of her secret accounts? Katherine has so many secrets. It was a dangerous game for Maggie to add her.
I'm still (view spoiler)[ really worried about Maggie and whether she is on the up and up. That she's a detective - UGH! I think she's setting them all up. I think she knew Katherine was there that night and saw her leave. I think she killed him. I'm just not sure why
and Katherine's husband, awful
Luz, I don't have a good sense about. Sevta - I'm hoping is being honest about what's happening so I hope she can get her out of that situation! Awful that she had ICE called on them AGAIN! Is it really Tanner? I can't help but think it's still Maggie - since she's a detective
Geneva finally has her teaching job back (and Frank in hot water) but I'm having a tough time really believing she's going to be able to keep this teaching job. (hide spoiler)]
Wow! (view spoiler)[ so it WAS her husband. I really thought Maggie was behind all of this. she was really sketchy there at the end.
I love that Luz got even by taking all that money so she could run away. I'm glad it wasn't Maggie that called ICE on her girlfriend!
and WOW! It was Geneva's own friend who posted that video and not even Frank! I'm glad they saved him from getting in trouble
and I'm most sad about Katherine, that her husband turned the daughter against her. so sad. and her mother was still just awful in the end! (hide spoiler)]
