Julie Ditton (storybooklady) | 234 comments This post has been ignored and bumped a few times. https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/.... The OP wasn't sure if this was an allowable entry.. A short story published online is a valid entry. If the original site is no longer online, but the story is published on wayback machine site. is it still valid? If so, I'll add it. If it has been ignored because it isn't valid, I will let him know.

Tal (taliesien) | 1 comments If you go to the site the requester linked (via the wayback machine archive) you will find it was a short story comprised of 4 chapters that was freely available to read with no subscription necessary or email address required. It wouldn't have been able to be archived intact if it wasn't just straight up free online, which has always been eligible to be added to GR. You can still read the story online from the archive, as I just did. It was kind of interesting and there is nothing in current GR policy that would prevent it being added. It was published online and the internet archive confirms everything needed to add it to GR. Pretty sure multiple librarians have used the wayback machine to research/confirm book eligibility for years when original websites go defunct.

p.s. the author made this story available for free on the site with the option to tip them if you enjoyed it, but free with no obligation.

"L.X. made this story available for free. Say thanks by sending them a tip."

Julie Ditton (storybooklady) | 234 comments I created the ebook entry The novella is also available inprint in a literary magazine ane in an anthology. I don't think that they can be entered as editions since they are seperate works can they? Can I put those in the description?

Julie Ditton (storybooklady) | 234 comments As you can see, like Alice, I went down the rabbit hole. As far as the duplicates, thank you for noticing. I only made it once. For some untold reason when I made an additional edit, the system made anew book instead of updating the record. I was waiting to see if the system would catch up. I have now deleted the duplicate record.
