[2024] Poll 3 Suggestions

These may be words that express intense emotion (such as nemesis, nefarious, furor, ecstasy/ecstatic). My idea was words that are not so commonly used that when they are used, they are noticed.
I'm suggesting Mandy's prompt from the Wild Discussion.
A book with a title containing 6+ words
A nice offset to our single word title!

A KIS (or keep it simple) version of this prompt could be to choose two books in a series, or by the same author, or same genre.
A BIO (or bring it on) option would be to choose totally different kinds of books.

Thanks, gr has a major genre category called science fiction fantasy, so I added a link to the genre page.

Okay, thanks, I'll do that.

Would you like me to reword the prompt to say science fiction fantasy, or would you like to keep it as is?

I can't second, but this sounds like fun with a lot of possibilities!

Noooooooooooooooo! (In Rachel's voice) I can't second this and it's my favourite TV show. Also, it can't be 30 years old because I can't be admitting in public that my favourite TV show is 30 years old.

Yes please, I’d like it to be consistent with the link and I think it’s common enough that people know what it means.

I will second an SFF book (if no one has seconded this yet?)
Nadine, I thought it was seconded already but I can't seem to find the message so your second will count!

I know that feeling! I keep seeing anniversary editions of books and going no, that can't be right it only came out two years ago...
I"ll second farm or ranch.
I like all the ideas, but I'm concerned that voters won't understand what "intense descriptive word" or "sensory disability" includes

@Emily: I know I put plural "hands", but I want to be sure that no one thinks a single hand is not acceptable (most of the examples have only a single hand). Can this be reworded to hand/hands? Or some other way of being clearer that one or more hands is acceptable?
With Jennifer W's approval of course (thanks for the second)!

That’s been seconded as well

Just a reminder that you can find a full list of prompts already on the 2024 list in the third post on this thread.
How Suggestions Work:
- The topics for the 2024 reading challenge list will be determined by a series of mini-polls, the number of which depends on the number of prompts winning in each mini-polls
- Suggestions for each poll will be opened until 15 suggestions are received and “seconded”.
- The voting thread will open the day after suggestions go live. You can find the schedule here.
Rules:
- Each member can only suggest OR second one prompt
- Suggestions close after 15 total seconded prompts
When suggesting and seconding, feel free to provide examples and descriptions that may help other members understand the prompt better. These descriptions and examples will be copied over to the voting thread for further discussion.
As always, please express any and all feedback (respectfully, of course), either here or in The Wild Discussion.
