I finished my crochet projects for our county fair and they were judged and accepted for display today, so now I can focus on books and our readathon without also frantically trying to finish afghans on a deadline. :) I am hoping to finish a few more books from my other categories now, but I've been really enjoying listening to audiobooks of Shakespeare plays along with Harvard lectures about them.
Harvard lectures, Jaime? How do you access them? Are you listening to Professor Marjorie Garber? She is brilliant.

Yep. They are really good lectures, and I get a lot more out of the plays if I listen to them, watch her lectures, and then watch stage productions of them. Maybe I am just missing grad school, but it's been a fun way to combine crochet and 'reading' this summer. I spend a lot of time on youtube anyway, and have a list of courses on there I want to get to this year.

I thought so ;-) Everytime I reread or read Shakespeare play, I consult her Shakespeare After All. . . . . .Watching various productions over time is fun too. Maybe the best part.

Step one: Decide how many categories/teams you wish to use. For example, my relay this week has 5 catehories- audiobooks, paperbacks, hardbacks, tomes, and classics,
Step 2: Choose at least one book for each category/team.
How to play- The first book in each category/team is the one you are 'currently reading'. As you finish each book you replace it with another from the same category. You can either make up stack/lists for each category ahead of time or choose replacement books as you go.
Which category/team do you expect will win? This game can be done with others too. I find it a great way to shuffle my tbr and tackle books I've gad languishing on my shelves. Often the category that wins is not the one I would have guessed beforehand. What are your categories> Which books are leading each of your categories?
