Sigh For A Strange Land This is just quick introduction, hopefully posted in the correct place. We're a small indie publishing company in North Yorkshire and have just published the paperback of Monica Stirling's forgotten masterpiece 'Sigh For A Strange Land'.

Fleeing from the violence of revolution, Resi, Boris and the redoubtable Aunt Natasha find themselves adrift in Europe with just their wits - and their love for one another - to sustain them. Resi, in the throes of adolescence, must navigate the physical and emotional turmoil of her life whilst discovering the truth about her past from her eccentric but devoted aunt. First published in 1958, Sigh For A Strange Land is as fresh, powerful, and timely as ever.

We've created a slightly new edit of the story, written a new Introduction and have traced Monica's surviving family who have given our project their blessing. This book is a huge labour of love for us and we'd really appreciate any interest it got. With an opening sentence:

"The day the revolution started, my Aunt Natasha was drunk"
