We've almost made it. One more hour of reading, and our last sprint. Are you ready? What book are you reading to close out this readathon?

Will you be continuing your readathon reading past the end of our official readathon?

I will be reading The Body by Stephen King. I have read 23%. I hope to read most of this novella during this hour

Cathy (cathepsut) | 567 comments I started Legends & Lattes. I have read 25 of the 296 pages. I‘ll see how it goes and how much of a dent I‘ll make into it today—it‘s 1am on Sunday night here… I will be going to bed in an hour and catch up with everything else after a few hours of sleep!

message 5: by Nona (new)

Nona | 138 comments I read from 7 books total, and finished 4 of those. Better than usual for me.

My goal for the readathon is always just to set aside a day where I focus on reading as much as I want. I didn't have any major distractions or conflicts this time, so yes this readathon was definitely a success.

I read 2 books and am nearer finished than started 2 more. . . .I am continuing on.

Erin *Proud Book Hoarder* (erinpaperbackstash) | 1435 comments I am also continuing on! Started reading Gray Dawn: An Urban Fantasy Series and it's a great paranormal series so far.

The body was a good story!

I also have finished 2, I believe.

Cathy (cathepsut) | 567 comments During the last sprint hour I read 40-odd pages of Legends & Lattes and listened to another 25 minutes of A Closed and Common Orbit, whilst getting ready for bed… 😏

Dewey's Reverse Readathon Closing Survey 2023
How many books did you read during this readathon? Did you have any favorites?
I listened to my audio, read 3 short stories and started a novel. They were all pretty good.

How many books did you finish? The three short stories.

Did you accomplish your goals for this readathon?
Not really. I only managed a few hours of reading, as my day did not go as planned.

How did your snacks and meals work out? Are there things you would change about the food and beverages side of your readathon for next time?
I didn‘t actually get to cook or prepare anything, as I ended up eating outside. I don’t usually plan anything different for the readathon.

Did you enjoy this readathon? What was the most successful part of your readathon? What would you change for next time?
I enjoyed the last six hours, when I actually got to focus on the readathon. The next readathon is going to be towards the end of the year, right? The likelihood that I will be out all day then is slim, so no changes.

Will you be continuing your readathon reading past the end of our official readathon?
Yes, I will. Unless I get kidnapped again by the same people to go to a lake and chill or go on an ebike tour… 😏

In total I only read 166 pages and got in 5 hours and 5 minutes of audio. Hopefully more pages next time!

How many books did you read during this readathon? Did you have any favorites?
I read 2 books, Babel by R. F. Kuang and The Aspern Papers by Henry James. No favorite - loved both books.

How many books did you finish?
I finished 1 book (Babel). I also read 88% of The Aspern Papers.

Did you accomplish your goals for this readathon?
Sort of, by 35 mins.

How did your snacks and meals work out? Are there things you would change about the food and beverages side of your readathon for next time?
Didn't eat much, same as previous readathon, but I got to the popcorn chicken. Won't change anything.

Did you enjoy this readathon? What was the most successful part of your readathon? What would you change for next time?
The most successful part of my readathon is I had fun. Won't change anything.

Will you be continuing your readathon reading past the end of our official readathon?
Yes.

*Thank you to all who made this readathon possible.*

Linda (michigooose) | 12 comments I read from three books, finished two of them.
Enjoyed, accomplished what I wanted to, will continue reading tonight.
I prefer the regular 8am to 8 am Readathons.

Yes. Sometimes I laughed. There were a numner of writer jokes, but this one caught me off guard:

We all began to nod. We knew about the night shift. I would have laughed then, though, if you had told me that one day not too many years from then I’d parlay all those childhood fears and night-sweats into about a million dollars.
