Alexander Fedyunin А я вот ни одной книги Терри не читал (хотя и собирался как-то). Кто у меня среди френдов знаток его творчества, какую книгу вы бы посоветовали прочитать первой? Спасибо.

I've didn't read any Terry's book. If you are a fan of him give me please advice which book is the best for a novice? Thanks.

Nathan Eaton Terry Pratchett's work is pretty spectacular. There really are multiple places you could start in the Discworld series. I started with the first book, The Colour Of Magic. It's a great book, but I wouldn't recommend starting there.

I think a great place to start would be the first book of his City Watch sub-series, Guards! Guards!. It drops you into the world, giving strong characters and a ton of laughs. It was the first Terry Pratchett book I gave 5 stars here on Goodreads.

Demerara There is a very cool graphic that shows the books classified by major theme, and suggests various reading orders.
