Share a book with an online friend while knocking off a read from your TBR list!
You can sign up for September TBR Twins here, and we'll pair you with someone to read a book with next month. If you’ve signed up for August, your twins are posted here. Please reach out to your twin and choose a book to read together!

Announcements
Save the dates! Planning is already underway for our September We Are Family team readathon. Sign-ups won’t open for a few more weeks, but you may want to mark your calendars for this 10-day activity, which will run from September 15 to 24. More information will be posted in the Readathons folder as we near the start date. Whether you have time to read only a few books or many books, we hope you will join us to expand your reading horizons while getting to know some of our group’s members!
Tip from the Mods
Are you joining the monthly group read? We would love to hear your thoughts! Please share your comments in the dedicated threads, and feel free to post any questions or discussion topics for others who are reading the book with you.
Group Read
Every month, our group votes and reads a book together. You don't have to read the book, but we would love it if you did!
Our August theme is Art and our group read for this month is The Princess Bride by William Goldman, the classic novel with beautiful cover art. This book was nominated by bailey. Feel free to join the discussion or post your review of the book!
You can also vote for our September book with the theme of Perseverance as well as nominate a book for October with the theme of Dreams!
Challenges
Have you signed up for any of our yearly challenges? We have crossed the halfway mark but, there’s still time, and you can count any applicable books you’ve read this year! Check out the Guide to the 2023 Yearly Challenges for a brief description of each one. Regardless of which genres or activities you enjoy, you’re sure to find a yearly challenge or two to help you reach your 2023 reading goals!
We are in the middle of the third quarter challenges. Reflecting the theme To Seek Out New Life & New Civilizations, Terra Incognita is a prompt-based challenge that explores little-known parts of planet Earth. This challenge was created by Carmen and is led by Sunny. Book Award Bingo invites you to read award-winning books to score bingos using the provided card, or a custom card of your own. This challenge blends suggestions from Carmen and Lisa and is being led by Lisa.
We have two monthly challenges for August’s theme of Art! Artistic Amusement is a prompt-based challenge about the muses of ancient Greek culture. This challenge was created by its leader, Carmen. For the second monthly challenge, we are going to Judge a Book By Its Cover. This open challenge celebrates cover art and was created by its leader, Kristina.
Do you have a great idea for a new challenge? Please let us know! Most of our quarterly and monthly challenges grow out of our members’ suggestions. We love hearing your creative ideas!
