For discussion of Book III: “Applegarth.”

Forging on alone through book III. When I read this volume in the past I didn’t enjoy it as much as the first two in the series, but this time I am finding more pleasure in it. Not sure why—I dislike reading about infidelity, and there’s not much action or plot, and Merlin’s blindness when it comes to women seems implausible. I did like his understanding of Guenevere’s situation and mind-set, but that was inconsistent with his obtuseness about both Morgause and Nimue.
