“If you’re not into short stories, you’re just reading the wrong ones."
I like short stories although I definitely don't want a steady diet of them. Do you read short stories? Is there a collection or author that you like particularly?

That is a funny quote. As with poetry, I enjoy short stories in small doses.
I gave both of these 4*:
How to Pronounce Knife: Stories by Souvankham Thammavongsa
Close Range: Wyoming Stories by Annie Proulx
These 2 jumped to mind easily, there probably are others.

It, too, liked that Annie Proulx collection. I have another of hers on hand that I keep meaning to get to: Bad Dirt. I don't know that this is the season as I've already pencilled in my "over 50 titles when 25 is probably my limit" list.

It will be fun to see what others chose for it!
