Questions (not edit requests) > Working on large threads. Best Practices mentioned by staff somewhere or can "volunteers" do whatever they want because "volunteers"?

I'm not a big fan of working in the long threads as they get confusing very quickly.

I think you can't tell volunteers what order they should work in. In that really old quotes thread (now closed) I used to number them like;

#333 Skipped

Sometimes I would write #333 leaving for a *author name* expert.

If librarians or staff are responding to a private message it would be helpful if they wrote

#333 done or better still #333 (requester name) done & explain they are responding to a message, so other librarians don't waste time checking them out.

Edit; also sometimes librarians don't realise they have missed out requests.
