While reading books from the Stars Wars: The High Republic series, I've realised that some editions have "The High Republic" or "Star Wars: The High Republic" not only as a series, in between parentheses after the title, but also before the title of the book itself (see here an example: https://www.goodreads.com/work/editio... ). This happens in both English and non-English editions, and I'm guessing it's because the books are named "Star Wars The High Republic - Title" on Amazon, so they're imported like that.

The text "Star Wars The High Republic" appears on the cover of all these books, but because this info is already added as the series name, it shouldn't appear before the title too, right? I wanted to be sure before deleting anything because it's a lot of work to do (and undo, in case I started doing it when I shouldn't).

In relation to this, then I started looking around other Star Wars books and I realised that a lot of editions have "Star Wars" before the title because, again, "Star Wars" appears on the cover itself and probably on the Amazon listing. In some cases, it's like in the High Republic ones: "Star Wars - Series name - Title", as in Crash of Fate: https://www.goodreads.com/work/editio...
In other cases, it's just Star Wars: Title (because the book doesn't belong to a concrete series besides the general "Star Wars Canon/Legends novels"), like Outbound Flight: https://www.goodreads.com/work/editio...

Should the tag "Star Wars" be deleted from before the title of all these books, or just the ones that are part of a "concrete" series, like The High Republic ones or Crash of Fate (or not at all)?

Thank you so much in advance!

Scott | 8696 comments Yes, you should remove the series name from the main title.

Sally | 337 comments I'll start fixing that, then. Thank you!
