Yes and yes - the group and individual challenges are tracked separately, but you can absolutely count the same book for both! We encourage it.
Some people don't sign up for a team but just do the individual challenge or vice versa. That's fine too.

Does this look green enough (individual) ?

NancyJ, I'd say yes to both! Especially with that peacock blue.
Thanks Ellie! This was all Robin's idea!

For Parcheesi, to confirm, with the page numbers it can only have 2s, 3s, and 4s?
So 234 would count. But what about
223
or 240 (since 0 is not 2, 3 or 4)

Good question - My intention was any combination of those digits, so you could have 222, 223, 224, 232, 233, 234, 242, 243, 244, 322, 323, 324, 332, 333, 334, 342, 343, 344, 422, 423, 424, 432, 433, 434, 442, 443, 444. So 240, 123, etc. wouldn't count.
**To simplify, I will accept it if there is any GR edition with those page numbers, not just the particular printing/ebook/audio you read/listened to**

Are you on the app? I never use it but I understand it can be limited. On the website, when you are on the page for any edition, if you scroll down, you'll see "other editions", and even lower an option for "See all 18 editions" (or however many there are.) If you click that, you'll see a list with all the page numbers for each one.
If it's not easy for you to access it, someone on your team should be able to check for you.

edit: Now I found it disregard and laugh if you want. 🤦♀️

Not laughing at you, I only found what I wanted by trial and error, I'm glad it works for you.

Sophia wrote: "Question: I have a graphic novel that was published in 2 volumes but seems to be treated as one work. Do I count that as two books or one?"
If it's different volumes, like Heartstopper: Volume One, Heartstopper: Volume Two, etc., I would count it as 2. But if there is only one title, just bound in 2 volumes to make it easier to read, I would count it as 1. Are there 1 or 2 different entries in GR?

I say that counts as 2, they are listed separately and they are certainly long enough.

I want to read Rue des Rosiers, which I think fits the group challenge prompt: two word title
translated to English, the title is Rose Street, and "des" is just the article for rosiers so it isn't a word. Does that work? Or is it a three word title because the book is in English and now I feel like I'm overthinking it!

As a French speaker, I'll reply. Since the book came out in English with that title, it counts as 3 words. If there were a French book with that title and an English translation called Rose Street (literally Rosebush Street), that would be 2 words.
So overthinking, but an original idea!

yes, the page count on GR often doesn't match the last number listed as a page. We hope that at least one person in the group will have a book with the right number of GR pages. If I were doing it again, I wouldn't use this task, as I don't want our members to have to spend a lot of time looking up page numbers!

But I will say that there is no one checking your team challenges. If you and your captains decide that you want to use it, it's totally fine. Team Challenge is for fun, not prizes, and we aren't going to tell you that you can't use a book if your group thinks it fits closely enough.
