To catch up with my challenges!
2. Are there any books you're dying to start or finish?
Yes, I am part way through a very long (600+ pages) Chinese classic novel, and I need to keep at it in order not to forget who all the characters are!
3. Are you participating in the team or individual challenges?
Both
4. Where will you be doing most of your reading?
At home for real books; in the car and garden for audiobooks
5. Is there anything that's going to stand in the way of your reading this week? Let us cheer you on!
Yes, I am singing with my choir both days this weekend at a local Songfest - will be lots of fun but will definitely impact reading time
1. What are your goals for the read-a-thon?
I'd definitely like to finish my two books in process, as well as start and finish at least one or two more print/ebooks.
2. Are there any books you're dying to start or finish?
I'm really excited to dive into A Fire Endless since I just finished the first one and loved it.
3. Are you participating in the team or individual challenges?
Participating in the team and moderating the individual!
4. Where will you be doing most of your reading?
Home or in my car or (if I can sneak it) at work
5. Is there anything that's going to stand in the way of your reading this week? Let us cheer you on!
I'm hoping this week breaks my recent screen time trend... I've been doing too much on my phone and I want to pick up a book!

Not that I know of. *knock on wood*

Just to read as much as I can
2. Are there any books you're dying to start or finish?
I've got a whole heap of ARCs that publish early October so I need to finish them. But I'm also listening to The Maid on audio and it's getting interesting so can't wait to finish this off. I have an ARC of The Mystery Guest - book 2 - so even though it's not published until early next year I may sneak it in!
3. Are you participating in the team or individual challenges?
Team challenge - just need to go work out which team I'm in. The individual one is a bit tricky when I need to read the ARCS.
4. Where will you be doing most of your reading?
Train and in bed.
5. Is there anything that's going to stand in the way of your reading this week? Let us cheer you on
Work, kids, gym etc! Usual life. Actually I have quite a few after work activities this week, massage, drinks with friends, governing council so they will slow me down too!

I'd like to average a book a day, and to get caught up on my main ATY list which I'm doing in order (I think I'm about 3 books behind schedule right now).
2. Are there any books you're dying to start or finish?
A Study in Drowning and All That Consumes Us, two ARCs I'm really excited for. And I'm hoping to finish The Secret Place cause i'm super curious how the mystery will resolve, but it feels like it's taking foreeeeever to get there.
3. Are you participating in the team or individual challenges?
Both
4. Where will you be doing most of your reading?
At home, hopefully with AC and fans on.
5. Is there anything that's going to stand in the way of your reading this week? Let us cheer you on!
Just normal life things, but my week is pretty chill this round.

To read the five books I've got from the library.
2. Are there any books you're dying to start or finish?
The Lay of the Land.
My library e-book downloaded as 700+ pages! I like the book, but I'd also like to get to the end of the last 200ish pages.
3. Are you participating in the team or individual challenges?
Individual
4. Where will you be doing most of your reading?
In bed, in the garden, at the computer.
5. Is there anything that's going to stand in the way of your reading this week? Let us cheer you on!
Three social events, including friends staying over. Still, fingers crossed.

Catch up on some of the many books I need to read for prompts!
2. Are there any books you're dying to start or finish?
I might be dying if I do not get Against All Enemies read this time around. However, it is not a goal for this read-a-thon other than pages. I would like to chunk off about 400 pages during it.
3. Are you participating in the team or individual challenges?
individual
4. Where will you be doing most of your reading?
at home in either the living room or in my bed - I love reading in bed during the morning sun
5. Is there anything that's going to stand in the way of your reading this week? Let us cheer you on!
fatigue and too many other activities planned
PS: this is my first ATY readathon

I’d like to finish at least four books.
2. Are there any books you're dying to start or finish?
I’m really loving Woman, Watching: Louise de Kiriline Lawrence and the Songbirds of Pimisi Bay, but it’s not something I want to rush through, so I’ll probably work my way through it this week while reading other books at the same time.
3. Are you participating in the team or individual challenges?
Both.
4. Where will you be doing most of your reading?
At home.
5. Is there anything that's going to stand in the way of your reading this week? Let us cheer you on!
I’m going camping from Sunday-Tuesday, so several hours driving and then a few more hiking to the site (and then the way home again) will definitely cut into my reading time!

I’d really like to read at least four books so I can get a chance to decide a 2024 prompt. Also, I’d like to finish some Netgalley books before publication date.
2. Are there any books you're dying to start or finish?
I think The Holly King will be fun. I’ve read the other books in the series and am looking forward to meeting the characters again.
3. Are you participating in the team or individual challenges?
Just the individual one.
4. Where will you be doing most of your reading?
Audiobook in the car, kindle books on the sofa and in bed. Maybe at lunch at work too.
5. Is there anything that's going to stand in the way of your reading this week? Let us cheer you on!
I have a busy week at work this week with some user acceptance testing of software that I don’t think will go well. Hopefully I won’t be too tired and grumpy to read books!

3. Are you participating in the team or individual challenges? Yes, both.
4. Where will you be doing most of your reading? With my ears while doing chores, but with the cooler weather also plan to park my butt on my back patio.
5. Is there anything that's going to stand in the way of your reading this week? Let us cheer you on! Just that pesky work! I have two evening commitments this week but my weekends are pretty open.

I am a person who really does not set goals for myself. Pretty ridiculous, as I do a lot of challenges. I do challenges to expand my reading and downsize the TBR (which never happens-haha!) I do hope to finish the 4 books I stated I would read for this time period
2. Are there any books you're dying to start or finish?
The Great Mortality: An Intimate History of the Black Death, the Most Devastating Plague of All Time - It came up in another challenge I do and because I have been in a funk lately I was not looking forward to it. Everything I have read on the Black Death has been boring and tough to get through. Wow, was I surprised at this book when I started it yesterday, it was hard to put down last night! I should whip through this one!
3. Are you participating in the team or individual challenges? Individual

3. Are you participating in the team or individual challenges?
Both
4. Where will you be doing most of your reading?
Mostly home, though I'll be on the road and away the last few days of the readathon.

5. Is there anything that's going to stand in the way of your reading this week? Let us cheer you on! Not much since I have a wide open week, just generally being distracted

2. Are there any books you're dying to start or finish? I'm halfway done with The Woman Who Split the Atom: The Life of Lise Meitner and I've been loving it. Also Unexampled Courage: The Blinding of Sgt. Isaac Woodard and the Awakening of President Harry S. Truman and Judge J. Waties Waring is due back before the end of the week and I've barely started it.
3. Are you participating in the team or individual challenges? Individual
4. Where will you be doing most of your reading? Home, probably on the couch.
5. Is there anything that's going to stand in the way of your reading this week? Let us cheer you on! I didn't have anything beyond normal household stuff that might cause a problem, until I woke up this morning with a migraine. :/

2. Are there any books you're dying to start or finish? Wrong Place Wrong Time
3. Are you participating in the team or individual challenges? Both

3. Are you participating in the team or individual challenges? Both!
4. Where will you be doing most of your reading? At home for the most part, plus some audio in the car.
5. Is there anything that's going to stand in the way of your reading this week? Just my usual struggles of trying to balance life and reading. Hoping this week to put my phone down a lot more and read instead of doomscrolling.

As always, to read just as much as I can. And to get to know other readers on my team!
2. Are there any books you're dying to start or finish?
I was very anxious to finish The Old Woman with the Knife, which I did this afternoon! I am quite anxious to start An Elderly Lady Is Up to No Good! I can't imagine why I wasn't interviewed for this book! Except for the fact that I do not exactly fit the stereotype for a "lady"! LOL
3. Are you participating in the team or individual challenges?
Both. As always!
4. Where will you be doing most of your reading?
In my 'reading chair', at the kitchen table, sometimes propped up in bed. :)
5. Is there anything that's going to stand in the way of your reading this week? Let us cheer you on!
I do have 3 IRL book club meetings during this time as well as teaching 3 evenings at the gym. Other than occasional grocery shopping trips, probably not much else! :)
