Is it worth the read discussion

Guys, I bought this today and saw some pretty good reviews about it, is it worth the read??

Personally, I found it a real struggle to get through - the characters weren't likeable to me and I couldn't bring myself to care about the story as a result. It does seem like one of those books that really splits opinion, though - the people who enjoy it seem to really love it! Even if it's not a book I'd recommend myself, you've got it, so absolutely give it a go and see if you get on well with it! :)

I loved it!! It’s very much (in my opinion) a “feeling” type of book where it has a certain feeling to it and that might be why I like it so much- it’s like dark academia but with students who devote themselves to poetry and shakespeare so it’s cool. I enjoyed the plot, especially how ironic it is in the scope of the whole Shakespeare-tragedy theme, and you could see where it was going but it was intriguing. But idk I think it’s a love it or hate it book but I’m in the love it camp:)

it’s one of my all time favourites!! i’m not really into shakespeare so it was a bit difficult in the beginning,but the characters and plot were so good that it didn’t matter. (little tip: i searched up the shakespeare quotes i didn’t understand and found an explanation so i understood everything that was going on and all the little details).

I read this in highschool and I absolutely loved it! I loved everything from the setting, characters, plot, language, everything. I will say that I haven't read The Secret History but in case you have, I heard that IWWV has a better pace and it's not as complex; up to you if that's a good thing or not.
