Lynne Stringer | 344 comments If I enjoy a book, I like to read it multiple times. :-)

message 3: by Judy (new)

Judy I love rereading books. sometimes when not knowing what to read and most times, I just feel like rereading it!

message 4: by Rosa (new)

Rosa (rosaschlumpf) | 217 comments I can not read a book once I know the ending. the magic is gone. I have only ever read one series 2x and it was Hunger Games. I was obsessed when it came out.

Ninia Reads | 2 comments I am a real rereader <3 mainly when I'm in a reading slump or don't feel great, I fall back into my favorite books.

message 6: by Jenna :) (new)

Jenna :) | 30 comments I haven’t re-read any of my books before

message 7: by Adele (new)

Adele Jones | 8 comments I also love re-reading a favourite book and agree with some of the previous comments, in that there's something therapeutic about revisiting a story you know you're going to love and will end just as you expect. It was my go-to relaxation at the end of an intense semester when I was student.

message 8: by shaiviii (new)

shaiviii I love re-reading books - usually when I don't know what to read

I haven't re-read Harry Potter in a while but I used to all the time. I don't often re-read though, only if I really like it or if it's a series I sometimes like to re-read earlier books to remember what happened. There are always so many new books to read!

message 12: by Alyse (new)

Alyse I have reread many of my favourites at least 5 times each! I love it.

Emma | 3 comments Wow! Most of y'all love re-reading books. I actually don't really like buying books unless I want to re-read them (although my dream is to have a big full bookshelf). I feel like on booktok/booktube it's become normal to just keep buying books even if you don't even know much or anything about them at all! (I have definitely done this before and regretted it)

message 14: by Tasha (new)

Tasha I re-read my favorites a lot. Twilight, Harry Potter, Hunger Game's and The Hobbit
Sometimes to get me out of a reading slump and sometimes when my friends or book club reads a book I've already read.
I think it's fun to re-read favorite books years later because you catch thing's you didn't the first time and may like or dislike something new because of the time that has went by.

~emily~ | 25 comments Is it just me or do you find it hard to re-read a book fully? Like I can re-read something but I often find myself skimming through pages or just skipping a chapter entirely. For me, its because I already know whats happening and can find it boring to read the side stories and extra info.

message 17: by Melissa (new)

Melissa Eisenmeier (carpelibrumbooks) | 10 comments Honestly, it depends on my mood and how many I've reread recently. If I'm in a reading slump, I will sometimes reread something just because it's easier. Or, like, if I'm feeling sad or feeling miserable, I'll reach for a book I've read before where I know the main character is miserable, because they're more relatable. But if I've been rereading a lot of books lately, because, say, I don't have a lot of reading material, then I'll often try something new so I don't get bored reading the same things over and over again.

ashh ³³ ᵈᵘ ᵈᵘ ᵈᵘ (adiexe) I don't reread often, but generally if a new book in the series is about to release I speed-read the series again.

message 19: by Robert (new)

Robert Borders | 5 comments I'm really picky with books so I do find ones I like, I tend to re-read them over newer books if I just need a recharge period.
