Hope everyone has a fun day reading today.

Contemporary: I guess The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo Since I haven't read it yet
Fantasy: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
Non-fiction: Maus I-My Father Bleeds History
Manga: Fullmetal Alchemist (last volume)
2. You're at the bookstore and you hear a teenager telling their mom they don't like to read, but their mom insists they pick something. You walk over and recommend a book you think is great for people who aren't big on reading - what book is it?
If they're mom didn't get the wrong idea, I would recommend something by Ellen Hopkins (many of her books revolve around troubled youth). Not only are the stories about some of the struggles teens face (bullying, peer pressure), it is also poetry. This would introduce them to the genre in a way that they can more easily connect with than, say, Shakespearean sonnets. They are a relatively quick read too, despite the page numbers. In particular, I thought Burned was a good read. Heart wrenching.
3. You're not feeling yourself and need a pick me up. Which book do you read to put yourself in a great mood?
A journey back to the Fullmetal Alchemist series, or something by David Sedaris (particularly with an audiobook involved).
4. You go back in time for a day to your teenage years. What book would you most likely have caught yourself reading?
Either Harry Potter or something for school (Of Mice and Men, Oedipus the King, The Great Gatsby, A Prayer for Owen Meany, etc.)
5. Your friend surprises you with a 4 day trip and you have 1 hour to pack. Which book do you bring to read on the way?
Whatever is currently part of my book challenge for the week!
6. Your house has been robbed! Don't worry - everyone is safe, but your bookshelf has been raided. What's the book you really hope is safe?
My complete Fullmetal or Harry Potter series (they're hardcover!)
1. You have to get rid of all your books and you can only keep one from each of these genres - contemporary, fantasy, non-fiction and one other genre of your choosing. What books do you keep?
Contemporary: a book by Nick Hornby (probably Slam)
Fantasy: The Seventh Gate
SciFi: Hollow World

I'll discuss with them before, so I could recommend something fitting their tastes.
3. You're not feeling yourself and need a pick me up. Which book do you read to put yourself in a great mood?
A book from Stephen King or Michael J. Sullivan, their writings sooth me.
4. You go back in time for a day to your teenage years. What book would you most likely have caught yourself reading?
Something from Stephen King for sure. I didn't read a lot and it was almost all about Stephen.
5. Your friend surprises you with a 4 day trip and you have 1 hour to pack. Which book do you bring to read on the way?
My Kindle and it's never ending library :p
