We're there! We're there! We're half way there! Or, you know, we will be when this hour is over. Hour 12 is here and it's time for another progress report. If you've been up all night, as I have, this is where the slow descent into madness begins. Enjoy! If you're coming back from a nap or a break, hey, welcome back! I hope you're refreshed and ready to read! We've got 12 more hours of Read-a-Thon left! Woohoo! First though, let's check in on everyone's progress...

What are you reading now?

How much progress have you made towards your reading goals?

Any food or snacks fueling your reading binge right now?

Have you had any major distractions or interruptions?

What has been the most challenging thing so far?

Do you have any words of encouragement or advice for fellow Read-a-Thonners?

If you're just joining us, missed them because you were buried in your book, or coming back from a nap/break feel free to check in on the other challenges that you may have missed. Here's what we've done so far:

The Pre-Read-a-Thon Introduction Post
Hour 1 - Your First Read
Hour 2 - The Seven Deadly Sins of Reading
Hour 3 - Book MASH
Hour 4 - Quotables
Hour 5 - Progress Report
Hour 7 - Taylor Swift Book Tag
Hour 9 - Fictional Friends
Hour 11 - Book Scenario Tag

Since we're into the second half of the challenge, I'm gonna disappear for a little while to have breakfast with my mom! Keep up the reading, keep up the cheerleading, keep up the Read-a-Thon hype! I'll check back in with you when I get back. Happy reading!

Hunted (Dark Protectors, #3) by Rebecca Zanetti I started the series yesterday, and this is book 4. I knew I would have some major distractions today, so I started yesterday morning instead of yesterday evening.

How much progress have you made towards your reading goals?

I was hoping to complete 3 books, so I guess I made it. I even got my 14 year old daughter to read a full book yesterday. She read Cinder (The Lunar Chronicles, #1) by Marissa Meyer from start to finish in just over 5 hours.

Have you had any major distractions or interruptions?

Yes, I had to finish up a couple episodes of Downton Abbey with my husband before the DVD went back to the library today. And we are heading out of town for a couple hours today as well.

What has been the most challenging thing so far?

Family distraction.

Adriana Pereira (adrianacecilia) I'm back! I just had breakfast (it's actually lunch time) and I'm ready to start reading! Since I've lost so much hours of the challenge I think I'm going to read all day tomorrow too.

Sophie (sawphie) This afternoon was hectic, I stopped reading 6 hours ago because we went to visit 2 flats and to see my sister-in-law in the hospital (she just had a cute little boy), so I'm really behind my reading.

Now I'm all set on the couch with a nice pot of tea to read Life by Keith Richards (with "Let's spend the night together" in my mind haha).

Stormie ~ Book Dragon ~ (stormiebookdragon) | 17 comments okay, kind of gave up on the book I was reading...for now...ADHD kicked in, and I got restless. I just got from the library and am going to try to get back into my reading. :)

Holli | 30 comments What are you reading now?

2k to 10k Writing Faster, Writing Better, and Writing More of What You Love by Rachel Aaron

How much progress have you made towards your reading goals?

I've read two of the books I wanted to read so far.

Writing a Kindle Book a Week by Alex Foster
The Busy Writer's One Hour Plot by Marg McAlister

Any food or snacks fueling your reading binge right now?

apple cinnamon fruit bars

Have you had any major distractions or interruptions?

A sinus headache due to the encroaching rain. Kind of a yay and boo. I want the rain, but not the headache.

What has been the most challenging thing so far?

See previous answer. :)

Do you have any words of encouragement or advice for fellow Read-a-Thonners?

Read short books. Leave the ones that could double as door stops for later.
