I am seeing that a lot of duplicate books are being added because people are using the 13-digit ISBN in the 10-digit box and GR doesn't realize that the book is already in the system.

Is there a way to set up GR so that people who are are manually adding books have to put a 10-digit ISBN in the 10-digit box and/or have to put a 13-digit ISBN in the 13-digit box or it won't work?

OR

Is there a way to set up GR so that it cross-refernces any ISBN (whether it has been added to the 10 or 13-digit box) so it can catch these duplicates?

I'd guess the first would be easier. It won't let you put non-digit characters (other than X) now; restricting the number might not be too hard?
