Looking forward to hearing from you,
Chaya Malka Rosen
I'm looking for just two readers to review my debut novel Silverskin on Amazon. I'm so close to having ten reviews, which I hear is the magic number for helping get sales. I'd happily take more reviews though, so if you're interested please let me know! (I'm a debut indie from the middle of nowhere with zero connections in the publishing industry, so building an ARC and reviewer team has been an uphill battle. ANY help is greatly appreciated! :)
Silverskin is a paranormal/urban fantasy that was inspired by a real-world Alaskan ghost story. It's a bit of a genre mashup though, because it's also appealed to the suspense readers I know. And boy, does it have suspense! I've been pitching it as "Hallmark meets Alfred Hitchcock." It's got adventure, romance, well-rounded characters, and more, and previous reviewers seem to have enjoyed it quite a bit.
You can find the links to it on Goodreads here: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...
And on Amazon here: https://www.amazon.com/Silverskin-Cai...
I'm able to send ePub, .MOBI, and PDF files.
TROPES AND TRIGGERS
- Found family
- Friends to Lovers romance (low-spice)
- Slow-burn romance
- Reformed bad boy
- Ghosts, demons, angels, and cryptids
If Silverskin were a movie, it would be PG-13. There is romance between two human characters but no sex (passionate kissing is the extent), brief violence (nothing above a PG-13 level), and some heavy themes are dealt with. I personally would be comfortable letting a mature 15-year-old read it (if your comfort level differs, that's fine :)
Triggers may include:
- Death of a character early on in the book, subsequent depictions of grief
- Depictions of characters fighting anxiety/depression (both naturally and supernaturally caused.)
- One scene involving alcohol abuse (after which the character immediately gets help)
- Brief mentions of suicide (NOTHING shown on-page)
- Accidental pregnancy (not involving a viewpoint character)
Please let me know if you're willing to review it! Like I said, I'd absolutely love any help :) Thanks for your time!
