Sydney (sydinreallife) | 41 comments Does anyone think The Exorcist would qualify in this category? I feel like the elements of demonic possession could arguably count as "magical" or fantastical; however, I know some might think it just as spiritual or even inner turmoil. Wondering what the general consensus would be! Thanks!

Anne | 307 comments I have just read A Year at the Chateau by Dick and Angel Strawbridge. For me it definitely has a touch of magic and lived up to my expectations.

Stacey D. | 1908 comments A great sense of place and indigenous magic abounds in When Two Feathers Fell From The Sky. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough to save this long-winded book. Another novel bogged down by too many secondary characters, neverending back stories and the you're telling me - not showing me malady. Maybe because of that, author Margaret Verble seemed at a loss with what to do with her title and most interesting character, Two Feathers.

I really wanted to love this book, especially since Verble's Cherokee America and Stealing were so good. Fans of western lit should definitely read those!
