(Open RP)

Somewhere on a coast of Altheisis

I stare out across the horizon, where the wisps of cream and magenta clouds seem to drift lazily atop the water. A cool sea breeze tugs at my hair.

Sunlight, I think to myself. How peculiar it is. How daunting. And yet here I stand, waiting for the sun, watching it move.

I raise my gaze in sudden curiosity.

The ship? Already?

I am soon to meet the one I have been looking for.

Jordan looked up and dropped the quill, he was just writing a letter back to his home land Unorlox, but now he was needed, he sighed and went up top deck to see where they have landed

I summon up confidence. Deep breaths, Ai. You can do this. You must.

With that I stride towards the dock.

message 10: by Deaths coming (new)

Deaths coming torture mastrer-if you want someone torture he wil | 58 comments Jordan looked over the port town, he saw someone walked out on the dock, he looked like the person who he was meant to be working with, he walked down to the dock towards him/her?

(Her. Look at character registration for description)

I see him. He makes his way towards me and I shove my hand outwards, almost a little too forcefully.

"Aife. Aife Faven of the LCO. Thank you for coming."

message 12: by Deaths coming (new)

Deaths coming torture mastrer-if you want someone torture he wil | 58 comments ((Thank you))
Jordan smiled slightly and took it gently "Nice to meet you, my name is Jordan Noblis, are you my contact?" He asked in smooth heavy accented voice

Grace Ashworth-Lawson (vinylwriter) | 80 comments Mod
I force a smile. "That would be me. I'm so glad you agreed to meet."

I glance back at the ship. "How many others are on there? Is there any chance we could speak more in private?"

((Be right back))

message 14: by Deaths coming (new)

Deaths coming torture mastrer-if you want someone torture he wil | 58 comments "There's my apprentice and 10 other people of the order, weather they are able to use magic has yet to be determined for 3 the other 7 need to learn" He explained going through the list

message 15: by Grace (new)

Grace Ashworth-Lawson (vinylwriter) | 80 comments Mod
Sure enough, the people begin to trail out of the ship.

I nod. "Alright. Headquarters may take a while to reach, I'm sorry. We travel on foot."

message 16: by Deaths coming (new)

Deaths coming torture mastrer-if you want someone torture he wil | 58 comments Jordan shrugged a bit "We expected as much, though don't rush us we are not that strong" He told her "Now what is the purpose of this alliance?" He asked, the order doesn't normally get involved with the outside world

message 17: by Grace (new)

Grace Ashworth-Lawson (vinylwriter) | 80 comments Mod
I feel bile rise up in my throat, but my father's voice scolds me in my head. Show no weakness.

"As you know, I'm looking for sorcerers. There aren't enough left in this world. I want to create... something new. Something big."

message 18: by Deaths coming (new)

Deaths coming torture mastrer-if you want someone torture he wil | 58 comments Jordan's eyes narrowed, he was a mind mage, they look for emotional weakness and he spotted a crack but decided to let it pass "Yes, even back home where magic is considered sacred, it is quite rare, now of course you would know that most of us are mind mage's?" He asked to see his reaction

message 19: by Grace (new)

Grace Ashworth-Lawson (vinylwriter) | 80 comments Mod
Mind mages... these days they are so rare.

I force down my initial judgement, remembering Jordan's skill, and compose myself.

"Of course. For that I was prepared." I raise my voice to address the surrounding people. "Welcome, mages."

message 20: by Deaths coming (new)

Deaths coming torture mastrer-if you want someone torture he wil | 58 comments The mage's bowed Jordan looked at Aife "Most of these mage's still need to be trained, they know the basics but we sent them with me as all of out masters are taken, we recently got a flux of them, only me and my apprentice" he said pointing at a young man the age of 18 "Know how to use it effectively, so calling them mages is a little bit of a overstatement" He told her

message 21: by Grace (new)

Grace Ashworth-Lawson (vinylwriter) | 80 comments Mod
Oh. Right. Got it.

I keep that strained smile on my lips.

"I'll keep that in mind." Bloody hell, so many mind-readers...

The soft morning breeze plays with my hair as I settle my gaze over Jordan once more. "Shall we go?"

message 22: by Deaths coming (new)

Deaths coming torture mastrer-if you want someone torture he wil | 58 comments Jordan nodded and turned to the people who came with him "Alright, we need to walk to the headquarters as we thought so you know the drill" He said making sure they are all together, all mages are sacred, turning to Aife he said "We are ready to go" He told her

message 23: by Grace (new)

Grace Ashworth-Lawson (vinylwriter) | 80 comments Mod
I lead them up the rocky slope away from the beach, and we begin our journey over the clifftops, pebbles crunching underfoot.

Mind mages. My father always stated they were a bunch of preachers cloaked in black robes. But then, he never was one for religion.

message 24: by Deaths coming (new)

Deaths coming torture mastrer-if you want someone torture he wil | 58 comments Jordan followed besides her, making sure nobody was getting loss he turned to her "Just to let you know, if I find even a hint that your trying to hurt us I won't hesitate to run or attack, already I have seen a crack with you so I should be able to fight you" he told her

message 25: by Grace (new)

Grace Ashworth-Lawson (vinylwriter) | 80 comments Mod
I laugh, but it comes out too high and shrill, so I drop my dismissive manner almost immediately.

"I don't know what you mean by 'crack'," I say stiffly, "but I respect your words. I do swear, though. I swear on my father's grave I seek only allegiance."

message 26: by Deaths coming (new)

Deaths coming torture mastrer-if you want someone torture he wil | 58 comments Jordan smiled slightly, he loved this unsettling affect he has on people "I know, but just a warning, mind mages are considered one of the most powerful for a reason" He said

message 27: by Grace (new)

Grace Ashworth-Lawson (vinylwriter) | 80 comments Mod
I blink, careful not to give anything away. I hadn't told him in my letter I'm an Elemental. It's okay. He can go on thinking he's the 'most powerful'.

"Oh, I'm sure." I wave a dismissive hand. "So, Jordan, tell me about yourself. You came from Unorlox, yes? What is it like there?"

message 28: by Deaths coming (new)

Deaths coming torture mastrer-if you want someone torture he wil | 58 comments Jordan smiled "By the way part of the training of being part of the order is the ability to recognise other mages and what they can do, just a little fact" He told him to scare him a little "Now Unorlox" He said with a sigh already missing it "Unorlox is a country of mountains, of intelligence, where magic is at the top as it should be, the wine is magnificent, at the top of the mountains are ruins of a lost civilisation, not much is know of these people as it takes a lot of effort to study them but they are brilliant" He said going on about how great Unorlox was

message 29: by Grace (new)

Grace Ashworth-Lawson (vinylwriter) | 80 comments Mod
I feel a need to scoff at this gush of word-vomit. Sure, it sounds a better place than my childhood home, but to dedicate oneself completely to purity of the mind... I shrug it off. It's beyond me. Anyway, this is probably just my father talking in my head. Like father, like daughter.

"Sounds charming," I manage, hoping I sound sincere.

message 30: by Deaths coming (new)

Deaths coming torture mastrer-if you want someone torture he wil | 58 comments Jordan rolled his eye's "Please scoff as you please, honeyed words don't get past me that easily, even without the help of mind magic Unorlox is a world of political drama so I can tell when someone is lying" He said

message 31: by Grace (new)

Grace Ashworth-Lawson (vinylwriter) | 80 comments Mod
I glare at him but hold my tongue. Jesus Christ. My father was right about them.

We walk in a tense silence for a while, Jordan seeming perfectly content with discontinuing the conversation. Finally we come to a winding path that leads onto flat, grassy land.

"Not far now," I tell the mages and... semi-mages.

message 32: by Deaths coming (new)

Deaths coming torture mastrer-if you want someone torture he wil | 58 comments Jordan smiled "Good, I do thank you for taking us up here, it will be nice to see some other parts of the world, by the way where are you from?" He asked her

message 33: by Grace (new)

Grace Ashworth-Lawson (vinylwriter) | 80 comments Mod
Those words trigger something inside me, and my eyes widen as memories fight their way to the surface. I make an intelligent noise closely resembling the one known as "gah".

"Tauren," I choke out.

Calm down, you idiot. He's a bloody mind mage. He'll think you're fucked up in the head.

"Tauren," I repeat, louder. "I was brought up in Tauren, but now I'm travelling. I don't really have a home at the moment."

message 34: by Deaths coming (new)

Deaths coming torture mastrer-if you want someone torture he wil | 58 comments Jordan smiled "Ahhh there's that crack I saw earlier, though I must say Tauren as a early home? I am not surprised that's a weakness" He said

message 35: by Grace (last edited Mar 25, 2015 12:13AM) (new)

Grace Ashworth-Lawson (vinylwriter) | 80 comments Mod
I scowl at this mention of a 'crack'.

"Tauren is no weakness of mine," I say. "Sure, it was harsh, but you toughen up. It was good life preparation."

message 36: by Deaths coming (new)

Deaths coming torture mastrer-if you want someone torture he wil | 58 comments Jordan laughed "Ohh I am sure it helped physically and hell even mentally but something happened there, there's a crack an emotional weakness that any competent mind mage can exploit, though it probably wouldn't be enough against you but it would be a good start"

message 37: by Grace (new)

Grace Ashworth-Lawson (vinylwriter) | 80 comments Mod
"Don't threaten me," I say, quietly. "I'm trying to help you."

message 38: by Deaths coming (new)

Deaths coming torture mastrer-if you want someone torture he wil | 58 comments Jordan looked at her "Who says I am threating you?, believe it or not but I am actually trying to help you, knowing and facing your weakness is better then simply pretending it isn't there, trust me that's how people fall" He told her

message 39: by Grace (new)

Grace Ashworth-Lawson (vinylwriter) | 80 comments Mod
I close my eyes for a second, pressing my lips together tightly. Okay. Okay.

When I open my eyes again, we have stopped, and for a moment I wonder why, until I see the great, vine-covered stone wall blocking out path. I allow myself to breathe.

"We're here."

((Going to have to continue tomorrow, I have homework. Thanks for the RP :) ))

message 40: by Deaths coming (new)

Deaths coming torture mastrer-if you want someone torture he wil | 58 comments ((Sure))
Jordan looked at the stone wall and smiled "Okay, how do we get in? and don't think we have finished our conversation, I need to teach you a couple of things if we are too stay her"

Laura Hardie (theflyingpotato) | 3 comments ((Hey, im at home sick and i was bored so i just put this in to thicken the story))

I am sick and tired of following these people! I dont care if the captain wants to find out the location of some sorcerers hide out, these people make me feel uneasy, like they know I'm there, they're just waiting for me to make the first move. I cant exactly under no circumstances be unnoticed it they are mind readers or something now can I!Besides, i'm a sailor, not some spy!!

And why would the captain want to know where the sorcerer's are? Does he think that he will harness their powers or something?! And why ME. Why not that creepy 'advisor' of his, always flitting around him. Or mr Gossip, the first mate? I ball my fists. I've only been in his crew for 2 seasons but really! im not looking where i'm going and run into a tree.

They come to a stop at a very big, very high stone wall covered in bush and vines and who knows what. I crouch behind a large thicket of brambles next to my tree ,just of the road, watching them intently.

Sitting in the stern of the boat I watch as the company I had been tracking made their journey upwards towards the peak of the hill. bunch of Unorlockians. Tricky folk who would manipulate you into thinking you had knots of rope for feet.
Never trusted a Mind mage, But under Captains strict orders i followed their boat to the port.
Alfie, one of the newer recruits had been sent to find out the sorcerers hiding places. We sailors love a good hustle, especially me. As I was taught at a young age to hustle a good deal whats more, If I could uncover their hiding holes I would be able to locate them if the worse were to happen I could blackmail them, They may be masters of the mind but I can trick even the most difficult of foe.
I must rely that Alfie will bring back the information i so desperately need.

message 43: by Laura (new)

Laura Hardie (theflyingpotato) | 3 comments I can tell that the lady doesn't like the leader of the mind mages - at least that's what i think they are- because she keeps forcing a smile. Hey, when your a part time smuggler, you learn how to read people.

I move closer to hear what they are saying, ducking behind a tall oak tree. I also take in my surroundings. This. This place is weird, on one side of the path there are heaps of rock and no life what soever, yet on my side, the forest is all but bursting with greenness.

The lady says some strange words, something like 'Eshucha MilandresS' and then these freaky big eyes appear in the wall and some how wisper 'Hesparan Dil......'( I didn't catch the rest) back. Then the lady walks through the wall!!!! With some hesitation, the others follow.

I momentarily contemplate trying to climb the wall to follow them, but something tells me not to. This is no ordinary wall. This is a living thing.

I go up to the wall and tap it, solid rock. Normally, i could have climbed this in a flash, but i don't think it would end well. Maybe i should just report back to Var about what i have found.

I start jogging back down the slope.
