What do you listen to while reading?

i don't. it's too distracting for my ADHD.

I don't like music while reading but do like ambience videos with nature sounds and such

Might listen to some Thelonious Monk when I'm reading Monk! by Youssef Daoudi.

I invariably have my classical music radio station going in the background. (Hooray for classical KDFC, https://www.kdfc.com/!)

I happen to be in Fiji right now so I’ll be listening to beach and bird sounds.

I used to listen to new age and classical music while reading. I tried it one readathon. While it didn't work that day, I do want to practice on daily basis. It may come to be a help.

I do like some soft classical when reading sometimes or movie scores, so may do some of that today also

White noise when it's not quiet where I am. Otherwise, nothing.

Our dog snoring! Otherwise I don't listen to anything while reading.

Currently my up stairs neighbor is playing holla back girl on repeat. So I'm envious of your white noise.

I love movie soundtracks. Its amazing how music can evoke the right mood and feelings.

That sounds like an excellent place to be for a readathon.

As it gets later I usually put on playlists of favorite music to keep from dozing off, at least when I am not playing audiobooks. I made some playlists on my spotify that I'll be pulling up soonish. The songs have to be interesting enough to keep me awake but familiar enough that I can hum along while still reading.

I'm listening a Ghibli music collection, it's really relaxing!
