Oh, thanks, Taz! You are right, we have said no to others so we should be consistent. And I had a feeling that Babel wasn't an option for a group read, but I couldn't remember for sure. Thanks for letting us know.🙂

Hi Sharon, I think the night circus has one instance of a suggestive scene, but I didn’t know about the tarot cards, thanks Lizzy :)

Impossible creatures is a fantasy story about all kinds of mythical creatures that live in a secret place called the Archipelago: a place that’s been kept secret from humans for thousands of years in order to protect the creatures from the rest of the world. Christopher accidentally discovers that his grandfather is the guardian of the Archipelago whilst visiting him. The protection around the Archipelago has begun to wear thin and mythical beings are pouring out. He meets a girl called Mal and a baby griffin, and together they embark on an urgent quest to discover the truth. I assume it’s clean since it seems marketed towards readers of all ages :)

The Sea of Tranquility - I honestly have no idea. It’s Sci-fi and on my tbr so I thought I would nominate it 😅

I just looked back and she was concerned whether it would be appropriate for our age audiences since there’s violence, misogyny and suicidal thoughts

The way I remember The Secret Garden is that it is not fantasy. It may have some elements that could make one think of fantasy, but the characters are in England all throughout the book, there is no travelling to other worlds or anything of that sort going on.

I saw that Babel isn’t an easy read and it’s more so for adult comprehension.
