by Rick Riordan

Dan and Amy Cahill’s Grandmother had just recently passed away so they went to her funeral. At the funeral, certain people received invitations to a private meeting, including Dan and Amy. They learned at the meeting that their Grandmother had organized the meeting and asked Mr. Macentire, her lawyer, to present a challenge. Either take a million dollars of inheritance from Grace Cahill (Dan and Amy’s Grandmother) or take the challenge, which would take them around the world and possibly become the most powerful Cahills in all of history.

I liked the book because it had lots of suspense. For example, sometimes they were trapped in places like the catacombs and couldn’t find their way out. It also had a good taste of adventure like when they were in the catacombs or when they were in the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia. They had to look for documents that had clues hidden in these places. Dan and Amy tried to find them before another one of their competitors found the clues.
