So - new month, new books....

at least I'm finishing up some books. Current reads are Demon in White (it's 750 pages so I have an excuse. On page 600 now)
I'm also reading Winter Harvest which is very good. I do like my Greek mythology - and haven't read any in a while

Ioanna Papadopoulou | 5 comments I am reading He Who Drowned the World! And it's so good!

Natasha (natashatsak) | 11 comments I'm finishing the first book in the Red Abbey Chronicles, Maresi, on Kindle. I love it! I will continue the series with Naondel. I just started listening to His Majesty's Dragon so let's see how that goes!
Winter Harvest seems intriguing, so I will probably give it a shot. I am a sucker for Greek mythology! How do you like Demon in White, Shauna?

Paula | 37 comments I am reading "The Master of Djin" by the lovely P. Djelí Clark with a group of friends and "After Dark" by Haruki Murakami with another group of friends... Those are my 'mandatory' books in November.

Of course I will be reading other books as well, I can't not read

I'm obsessed with Demon in White - Howling Dark was incredible too. It's honestly the best sci-fi I've ever read.

I really need to read this series. Do you know if it's a duology or a longer series?

Natalie | 6 comments Hi!!!
Im still reading some books from last month that I’m going slow with but have also added some new ones. That’s how my mind works, don’t ask me to explain! But no I do not mix the stories up nor do I forget where I stopped at, kkkkk
New ones:
The Time Traveller’s Guide To Medieval England (very interesting and also hilarious)
The Fragile Threads of Power (highly anticipated- loving it)
The Diary of a Bookseller (hilarious and gloomy).
The last one is more interesting knowing it’s all true, not fiction. At the back cover there’s a passage I must share: “Thursday, 24 April: an elderly costumer told me that her book club’s next book was Dracula, but she couldn’t remember what he’d written.” 🤭
Xxx

It is a duology. Or so the internet says! So it is now finished. It is one of those books that I love reading, even though I wouldn't say I can read a lot of them in a year. It is beautifully written and so thought provoking. Its ideas will stay with me for a while. I am both reading a story and learning more about the world.

Haruki Murakami is the best - have you read more of his books?

Yes I read Norwegian Wood when I was in college and I made my dad read it, we've been buying all of the books that he's been getting published in Spain. This year he was giving the Princess of Asturias Prize, which is similar to the Nobel but more humanitarian. There are several categories and literature is one of them.

Stephen Richter (stephenofskytrain) | 23 comments Finished the Orbit Book's edition of The Lost War, I read the self-published version back in 2021 and found out I remembered the very beginning and the very end, but nothing between those two points. So, I can't tell anyone the difference between the two versions. All I know is I loved it the first time and loved it the second time. On to System Collapse. Murderbot is one of my favorites ongoing series.
