Asher Burns | 26 comments Hello! Can't seem to find the answer to this question anywhere so I figured I would ask it myself.

Are subtitles supposed to be capitalized even if on the cover of the book they are not? Is it "A Good Book: This is the subtitle" or "A Good Book: This Is the Subtitle"? Obviously this is easily answered when the subtitle is capitalized on the cover, but I wasn't sure what the policy was otherwise.

For editions in other languages than English, the standard capitalization rules can be different. For example for a Swedish edition, the correct capitalization would be "A good book: This is the subtitle"
