London shook her head, "I can't wrap my head around why you would do this...."

"Just... consider it a parting gift. Thing'll be better without me anyways."

London looked at Aspen with a glare, "Don't you ever fucking say that again!"

"Why not? It's true."

"No its not! Do you understand how empty I would feel without you in my life?" Tears dared to prick her eyes as she looked away.

"W-what...?"

"Just because we broke up does not mean I don't care about you. I love you, with all my heart. You should have known that..."

London hesitated before hugging aspen around the neck, a few tears running down her face, "Just...Please stop doing this to yourself..please..."

His breath caught in his throat, and he seemed startled, tears starting to well up in his eyes.

After a second, he returned the hug, failing to hold back tears.

London gave him a gentle squeeze, holding him in the embrace.

He eventually pulls back.
"S-sorry..."

She shook her head, "No..I'm sorry..."

"You didn't do anything wrong, though..."

"I lead you to feel like this, for you to be hurt...I...I am so sorry..." she shook her head and wiped back tears.

"No, I'm just stupid andworthless... none of this is new..."

"Stop!...just...stop..."

"Just speakin' the truth..."

"Why would you think that of yourself!? Why-" Before she could finish, the bell rang, signalling the end of class.

"When it's all you've heard your whole life, it starts to feel true."
He slings his bag over his shoulder.

London stood there speechless, unsure what to say.
