Katie (love---katie) | 576 comments I think I'm up through Chapter 8 right now? I'm loooooving their dynamic. The banter, the tentative friendship immediately shut down to enmity again. It is all so chef's kiss.

I'm so scared to already say this is a contender for a new favorite because who knows what can happen in the next 200 pages but I am INVESTED

Jen K | 1547 comments I finished chapter 5 this morning and hope to keep catching up.

@Katie, also enjoying so far. It is solid writing, the concept is interesting and they MCs are pretty great! I look forward to more and soon!

Katie (love---katie) | 576 comments I finished it lol

Not quite a 5 star for me, but very close! I could see it turning into a comfort read for me and becoming a 5 star on future rereads just because it makes me so happy (which also happened with The Hating Game and Well Met)

I really loved them as a couple and bought into the romance completely, but their individual stories were a little bare for my taste. I said this in my overall review but I think it bears repeating: contemporary romances are fairly short in general, but this is about 20-30 pages shorter than the average. I think if we'd had just those 20-30 pages to let their individual character growth breathe just a little more, it would have been perfect.

Jen K | 1547 comments Nice, glad to see you enjoyed so much! Excited for more reading of it tonight.

Jen K | 1547 comments I finally finished this one. It was super cute. I really liked Clark and Riley too. It was a good enemies to lovers and not too over the top. They were both totally fun. I agree that parts did seem a bit abbreviated especially as it all wrapped with Clark's family but and could have used more padding.

Really made me want to visit a haunted/ cursed castle in Scotland!
