Yep, you've read a lot more than some of our serious participants for March's challenge, so I'm sure a serious team will be happy to have you ☺

message 15: by Nikki (new)

Nikki | 2404 comments Aww yay I hope so, I was worried this month that serious would be considered more than I read so I went for fun to play it safe but missed the conversational bit and well competing a bit so I'll give serious a good shot I just hope I can keep up :)

Jackie (jackiegirl02) | 4452 comments Welcome all! I am planning to read at least eight books which should be doable as April is more free for me than March was. Nikki, how many books have you read in March? Also, what is everyone planning to read? How many books and are any people interested in buddy reads?

message 21: by Sarah Elizabeth (new)

Sarah Elizabeth (bookworm_sarah) | 90944 comments Mod

message 22: by Berit (new)

Berit | 872 comments Well she should've seriously been on a serious team last month, you should quickly put our on our team right now :-)

message 23: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (jackiegirl02) | 4452 comments Wow! Great job! I could do that if I didn't have school which means basically in the summer.

message 24: by Berit (new)

Berit | 872 comments I hope to read as much next month as I did this, I will also participate in but he reads. Like we did last month anytime you are reading a book and want to buddy just posted here :-) welcome to those that weren't on our team last month which was S1 ! We had a lot of fun and really got to know one another. I will start off by introducing myself I am the mother of three children 18, 17, and 12, boy, girl, boy. When I am not busy being a mom, I am reading, exercising, chatting, and just enjoying life. Oh yes and eating, that is why I need to exercise ;-)

message 25: by Nikki (new)

Nikki | 2404 comments Lol I have 3 kids and very little time but I shove reading in where I can.

message 26: by Nikki (new)

Nikki | 2404 comments Well following on from Berit
I am also a mother of three children 5,3, 6 months (boy, boy, girl) in my spare time I read, exercise and listen to music, play video games and do some book keeping :) I was in fun team last time but I'm hoping I can beat how many I read in march :)

message 27: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (jackiegirl02) | 4452 comments I am a high school senior and I'm pretty busy with school most of the time, but I have spring break the first week of April so I should be able to read quite a bit then. I am hoping to read more than I did in March. I live in Virginia. I know where most of you live, but just for time zone purposes where does everybody else live? Berit and I are starting pretty little liars in April if anyone wants to join.

message 28: by Berit (new)

Berit | 872 comments Hello girls! Oh yes and Marcus ;-), I am in the Pacific Time zone, probably behind all of you :-)

Stormy | 2515 comments Hi everyone me and Nikki are going to be reading Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover on 1 April if anybody would like to join here is the thread everyone https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

message 34: by Berit (new)

Berit | 872 comments Glad to see the buddy reading going on. It made a huge difference in the scoring last month. So, the more buddy read the better!! Also I am very glad to see I am not the only mom in the group this month, your perspective on everything seems to change a bit when you are a mom :-)

message 35: by Nikki (new)

Nikki | 2404 comments God yes definitely Berit especially trying to squeeze everything in feels like I need 48 hours in a 24 hour slot to get everything done sometimes lol.

We thought buddy reading will help rack up the points faster :) see all for competition :)

message 36: by Berit (new)

Berit | 872 comments Your kids are much younger than mine, I would like to tell you it gets easier, but it doesn't, it gets different ;-) if that makes any sense? Yes, but he reading really does help rack up the points, but I do realize it is not always convenient.

message 37: by Nikki (new)

Nikki | 2404 comments Lol it gets harder, I'm relishing the fact they do what they're told and think mums super mum now I dread when I reach the teenage years all my children are me, stubborn Independent and strong minded I think this will make for a difficult household lol my poor partner I almost feel sorry for him... Almost but not quite ;) definitely agree there reading can't always happen with kids surrounding us lol

message 38: by Berit (new)

Berit | 872 comments I have to say I am really enjoying the teenage years, they are like little people now, do they listen to me all the time, definitely not, but I like that they are strong in their opinions it will help them in the real world.! I do have to admit though, some days are easier than others, LOL

message 41: by Nikki (new)

Nikki | 2404 comments Lol aww Sarah I have days that I'm absolutely shattered and that's without my iron deficiency and vitamin do deficiency lol just don't have much choice ;) they won't give me their bottled energy lol

message 42: by Sarah Elizabeth (new)

Sarah Elizabeth (bookworm_sarah) | 90944 comments Mod
They have so much energy! When I get my little boy together with my two nieces they are unstoppable!

message 43: by Nikki (new)

Nikki | 2404 comments It's a force of nature isn't it lol

message 44: by Berit (new)

Berit | 872 comments You girls both have boys, boys have a lot of energy!! Here is the good news when they get older they are so much easier than girls! Some days my daughter, who I love more than anything, drains me of all my emotional energy :-)

message 45: by Sarah Elizabeth (new)

Sarah Elizabeth (bookworm_sarah) | 90944 comments Mod
My friends who have one of each both say that boys are easier.

message 46: by Berit (new)

Berit | 872 comments I would completely agree with that, boys are easier :-)

message 47: by Nikki (new)

Nikki | 2404 comments Boys are so much easier when older they grunt and sleep avoid you girls just cause way too many decibels and glass panes to break lol

message 48: by Berit (new)

Berit | 872 comments Yes the boys will eat you out of house and home :-) I just went grocery shopping today, and will run out of food quickly. I have to hide things if I really want them for myself :-)

message 49: by Sarah Elizabeth (new)

Sarah Elizabeth (bookworm_sarah) | 90944 comments Mod
Oh we haven't got to that stage yet, my little boy hardly eats anything, he's far too busy playing to stop to eat.

message 50: by Nikki (new)

Nikki | 2404 comments Oh god yes, mine do that now lol but there again my 6 month old looks to be going the same way. I also have to hide things if I want a chance at eating it lol. How old is your one Sarah?
