Ann (annrumsey) | 16944 comments Carol:?I haven’t read a Tim Dorsey book yet either and always meant to. The premise that a “killer is a good guy mc” slightly turned me off ( Says the reader who liked Dexter) I lined up the first Serge book, Florida Roadkill on audio. I can get seven of his 26 in the ‘free’ plus catalog.

BarryP (barrypz) | 3500 comments The first Dorsey I read was Hammerhead Ranch motel. The book seemed like a disconnected series of unusual events, until it suddenly all came together. The books do progress a bit though, if reading in order is what you desire.

Yes, that premise turned me off to Dexter. I think reading it might be easier. And these sound a little quirkier/more offbeat, which might ease the discomfort as well.
