For you with kindles, how do you find unabridged versions? I don't know any sure way other than when they say it is. I really want to read unabridged, could use some help.. Are many abridged? Try to look at page numbers on amazon, but they are all so different...

Dee (deinonychus) | 243 comments On Amazon, it is difficult to tell. Particularly with free editions of works in the public domain, there is no way of knowing who edited the book or what source it came from. You could try looking at Project Gutenberg, which should have unabridged versions, and in any case lists the edition of the source text used, so you can check if further confirmation is needed.

Kaycie | 39 comments Winter- I tend to look for the page numbers or for other people's reviews. If neither one says, but it's free, I'll buy it and check. If it's not free, I pick a different list book and hope someone else will review that one explaining if it's the entire book our not. Sorry that wasn't more help.

You might be able to check the isbn number in goodreads to check the number of pages of that edition, since i think Amazon lists those, but I've never tried it before.

Melanti | 50 comments If the Kindle edition has real page numbers and gives the relevant ISBN, sometimes you can figure out a bit more about it by pulling up that particular ISBN and either checking out the description or using the "look inside" feature to look at the copyright page/intro.
