Carolyn | 9840 comments The Last Guest House by Caroline Mitchell The Last Guest House by Caroline Mitchell is a pretty creepy psychological suspense set in an isolated guest house on the tenth anniversary of a cold case mass killing.

PattyMacDotComma | 3299 comments What a wild pair these disreputable, scruffy Irishmen are, waiting in Algeciras, Spain, for the Night Boat to Tangier, looking for one's daughter, Dilly, who took off for the continent three years ago. Terrific Irish lilt to the sound of them as they search.

Carolyn | 9840 comments The Canal Murders (Yorkshire Murder Mysteries #10) by J.R. Ellis The Canal Murders by J.R. Ellis. Although not my favourite in this series, I really enjoyed the setting of this novel where two young detectives on a canal boat holiday come across a murder amongst the boating community.
