Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9976 comments I'm yet to be disappointed by Sulari Gentill's work. The Mystery Writer is a twisty page-turner that gets you thinking about authors and image and publicity. 5★s

Carolyn | 9840 comments My review for Knife Skills for Beginners A Novel by Orlando Murrin Knife Skills for Beginners: A Novel by Orlando Murrin. An entertaining cozy murder mystery in a cooking school written by a UK Masterchef winner. The characters could have been better developed and I was really disappointed that there weren't lots of yummy recipes!

Rachel (mimbza) | 697 comments Daughters of the North Jean Gordon and Mary, Queen of Scots by Jennifer Morag Henderson Daughters of the North: Jean Gordon and Mary, Queen of Scots by Scottish author Jennifer Morag Henderson is a biography of Jean Gordon who was married to the Earl of Borthwick before Mary Queen of Scots, then became the Countess of Sutherland, before finally marrying her childhood love. This is a well-researched, well-written story. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ here is my review

PattyMacDotComma | 3299 comments Life on a small Australian farm in the 1950s means contentment and freedom for Rex, but confinement and restriction for wife Irene, who seems to be the Snake in this novel by Aussie author Kate Jennings. No actual venomous creatures, so no trigger warning 😊necessary. Irene's a piece of work, though!
