PattyMacDotComma | 3299 comments I recently listened to the first 'volume' (two short stories in this) of the very entertaining New Adventures of Mickey Spillane's Mike Hammer Vol 1 by Max Allan Collins. They were full dramatisations, like radio plays with footsteps, gunshots and all.

They're narrated by the inimitable Stacy Keach, who played Hammer in the TV series, back in the day. Great fun from Audible.

True, Patty. I haven't read many as I find the topic quite traumatising, but of the ones I have read, this book is the most disturbing and yet the most honest in its grittiness. Every single country has its demons, some of which they simply don't exorcise no matter the year.
