So we have a monthly theme for mid-year (July I think) that we are repeating from this past year. It's Finish-a-Year/Finish-an-Author. The idea is that each individual nominates a book that, for them, would be the final book to scratch off a full year's ballot or a full author's H/N bibliography. We then vote on those books and help the winner cross that finish line.

I was looking ahead to think about what to nominate (since I'm way ahead of the game this December) and came up with some authors that the group as a whole is one book away from completing. Now, I realize that no one has actually read all the group reads (Allan is the closest I believe), so these may not match your progress, but they are potentially eligible. I'm excluding One-Hit Wonders and the 2020s shelf.

Leigh Brackett: Shadow Over Mars
Cory Doctorow: Little Brother
Ann Leckie: Provenance
Maureen F. McHugh: Mission Child
Elizabeth Moon: The Speed of Dark
Terry Pratchett: Making Money
Olaf Stapledon: Darkness and the Light
Neal Stephenson: Anathem
Theodore Sturgeon: Venus Plus X
Catherynne M. Valente: Palimpsest
Jack Vance: Suldrun's Garden
Jeff VanderMeer: Finch
Kurt Vonnegut Jr.: Slaughterhouse-Five
Jo Walton: Farthing

But what I also found interesting in doing this process, are all the authors we haven't read a single book by yet in this group. Maybe we could think about Start an Author as a future theme?

And then there's E. E. Doc Smith. Geez...
