Goodreads Librarians Group discussion

I know Goodreads doesn't allow linking to other websites any longer, but this is the first time I've been bugged by it as a librarian --- I am trying to update a decription for this book/edition and have tried multiple times. Obviously I am not putting any links in the description, which I have taken from the Amazon page - it keeps auto-importing messed up descriptions for many in this series, and I have been able to fix all so far except this one.

Repeating it twice

I am trying to add this text in there as an updated description:

I have reloaded, deleted, it doesn't matter, keeps saying I am burying links in here.

The description is missing spaces after the periods in two sentences so the system thinks those are links. You'll need to add the spaces to the below sections of the description and then you'll stop getting the error.

Thank you, that must be it! Many I have been correcting were like that imported from Amazon I'm assuming.

That happens when the import bot removes the paragraph break after a sentence.

When it's a lengthy description, I usually copy it from Amazon (or the publisher) and overwrite the existing Goodreads description. I find it's easier than looking for that "word[period]word" error. :)
