heyy I'm a little confused about how this whole thing here works. I get that it's roleplay right, but how does the claiming and stuff work? do I create a new character or is it one out of the hunger games universe? And how does the role play itself work?

so, for claiming you go over to the claim list and post what characters you want to have. after you do this, you can begin creating your characters. (we have instructions that you can follow if you're unsure where to begin!)

it will be in the hunger games universe, but not a character from the actual series.
they can not be an ancestor of one of the canon characters either, so it's just a new character

after your character is approved, you can begin roleplaying.
the main event (the games themselves) will not begin until a date that has yet to be determined, don't worry, when we know, you will know.

if you need help with roleplaying itself, let me, or sav, know and we will help you!

So if understood it right, I choose two characters from the list and claim them. They can't be from the same district. And once I've claimed it I can make up a name and a personality, right?

you can claim more than two characters, i believe, unless sav changed it, and you'd be writing more than just that, but basically yes.

you can claim:
- two tributes
- one stylist
- one capitol worker
- one peacekeeper
- one person of power (i.e. president, head gamemaker)
- unlimited "ordinary" people such as family members of the tributes, shopkeepers, etc.

okayyy so I claim at least five characters but I can take more than that.

here's a suggestion: try sticking to one character for now until you get used to everything and then claim more as you go!

soo I have an outline of my character and my question is: where do I put that information now? there are so many chats and categories

hey emma! try not to feel too overwhelmed. if it's not completed, we recommend placing it in the character workshop, located here. if/once they're completed, please place them in the character creator located here.

for the most part, we try to keep a short descriptor of what the topic is as the first post so that it's easier to navigate. let me know if there's anything else i can do to help and/or clarify!

Hiya! I just had a couple questions :)

1. Could I possibly request a collaboration thread? I've found that a similar thread like that can keep the chat a little less befuddled with requests and hashing out collaborations between characters. Just throwing it out there!

2. And just as a clarification for background, for the sake of this plot, did Katniss Everdeen and the rebels fully overthrow the government as they did in the original storyline but went through with the reinstating of the Hunger Games? Or were they shut down somewhere along the way? If so, are victors allowed to rewatch the 74th/75th games or is it kept from the public because of the rebellion?

3. Ooh and is this Hunger Games being ran as a Quarter Quell kind of set-up or just as normal year of Games?

2. i will obviously have to talk to the other mods about this, but I'm assuming if will be that the rebels have failed in overthrowing the government. and, yes, the 74th/75th games would be erased just like the 10th games was.

3. i will have to confirm this as well, but it is most likely a Quell because of the lore from the series.

In the regular series tributes are 12-18 years old, what are the age for the tributes typically like for this rp?

Is art okay for faceclaims or would you prefer real people?

as long as they look super realistic and arent in the anime realm, it's fine, but yes, real people are prefered
