Kavian sat up. He waited do an answer but was none. He didn't know what to do. "Kim get back in here," he said afraid she would be swept away.

"But, Leaf might be out here." She said softly. "I'll be fine." She walked down the steps and called out for him again.

"Kim!" He said more forcefully. He knew something was out there and he couldn't do anything to help of she got in a fight.

She stopped and turned around. "Fine." She said walking inside and closing the door. "Sorry..." She softly said.

He looked around for Leaf. He didn't see him anywhere. "Barricade the door," he said quietly looking around for his weapons.

"With what?" She asked. She bit her lip when she saw him looking for his weapons. "Do you sense something?" She asked.

"Anything," he said. He spotted his two swords he had left here on the counter. He reached and grabbed them. He also found his three daggers. He strapped one to his chest one to his side and one to his ankle.

She looked around and found something she could board the door with. "Wait, what if Leaf is out there? He can't get in if we barricade the door."

"He can get in," if he's alive, he didn't add. He checked his swords. He couldn't lift them. He bit his lip and shives them out of site. Far out of sight.

"Fine." She boarded the door and once she was done she walked to Kavian. "I can figure out how to do a force field with my magic if that will help."

He thought it over. "No it will only attract attention." He slid his feet around the table. He breathed in debating about standing up.

"Hey, you don't need to stand. Nothing is going on for now." She said walking around the table and putting her hands on his chest.

Heat tore through his chest. He could feel her. He took one of her hands.

She looked at one of her hands that he had grabbed. She smiled slightly. "Okay now, lay down please."

He shook his head no. He wanted to be awake. He needed to be awake.

She sighed. "I guess it can't be helped." She mumbled softly. She moved her other hand from his chest to his cheek.

He smiled. He wanted to be awake. Now he was. He squeezed her fingers slightly.

She smiled and put her head against his softly so their breaths tickled each other. "I love you..." She gently said.

"How'd you make up your mind so quickly?" Forcing himself to talk. He had to be focused.

She opened her mouth to answer, but something shook the house. She quickly moved away. "Stay there." Kim said to Kavian as she walked to the door.

"No get back over here!" Did this girl ever follow directions? He gripped his knife.

"Kavian. I'll be fine, so stop okay." She said calmly though she was angry he wasn't even allowing her to the door.

"Kim, I can't protect you over there. Get back over here. " he tried. He didn't want her in the line of fire.

She rolled her eyes. "I'm going to have to do this eventually Kavian! Do you think you will be able to protect me then?"

A flicker of pain crossed his face. He but down on his lip and decided not to answer. "Please,"

She felt the house move again and debated if she should go over to him or not. "No Kavian. You need to have more faith in me to protect myself."

He was really hurt now. "I trust you to use your powers when the time comes but I know you don't know how to control it. I promised I would help you but I can't help you if your dead. "

She looked down. "I was going to try. Remember that time you almost got killed and I saved you. I didn't know about my powers, but I still saved you."

He big down his retaliation. 'You almost killed me as well' he thought. He closed his eyes and breathed trying to think.

She heard a snap of wood at the door. She looked around for a weapon, but she decided just to raise her hand. "Please just stay there or you'll open your wounds."

"The wounds won't matter any more if we're dead," he said quietly willing her away from the door.

"Have faith in me!" She yelped when she saw wood break and there was claws going through. She quickly moved her hand and the monsters arm came off.

He flinched. "I have faith! I just don't want you to get hurt! Neither of us could afford for you to get hurt!" Wy didn't this girl understand.

"Do you think I care about that now?" She put her hand through the gab and felt a blast from her hand. She put it back through and fixed the board.

"You have to care about that now!" He had gathered the strength to stand and was waiting for the other attack.

She looked over at him. "Kavian." She heard another wood breaking then ran to him. "Okay. I'm sorry. Let's just go into my room." She said.

He shook his head. "We can't we just have to st-" he was cut off by something pushing the air out of his lungs. Something had broken through the barricade. He took a knife and slashed it.

Kim did the next move and used her goddess wind to punch it to the wall. Though it hurt her hand like hell. "See. Told you."

He brushed himself off. "I doesn't help when it's already dead," he said flatly looking out the hole in the door.

She looked at the hole too. "Come on. Let's just go to my room." She grabbed his arm and walked to her room. Once they were inside, she did a tiny spell she had seen Leaf do to protect the door.

He tested the door. "Even with that spell it won't hold for long." He sat own the bed breathing hard.

"Yeah, but it will last." She laid him down on her bed. "There. It's something." She said looking at the door.

"Then what'll we do? We have nowhere to go," he gestured around. Again no windows.

"I'll kill them. That's are only choice." She said crossing her arms and then sat down besides his bed.

He closed his eyes wondering how she could take that so lightly. 'Demons,' he thought.

She stared at the door and then looked down. "Ah." She quickly took out the feather he had given her and held it close to her.

His eyes followed it. He shook his head riding his mind of negative thoughts. He focused on the door.

She looked at him. "You think I'm going to end up disappointing or killing everyone?" She asked softly.

He shook his head. "No but you shouldn't but it into anymore danger by endangering yourself."

She was quiet and didn't say anything else after that. She just looked at the door.
