He out his head in his hands. He was angry but he was glad and was safe. He kept thinking that maybe that was better but every time he thought about it his heart fractured.

She looked at Kavian and went back to his letter. "Remember when you put the letter in that box?" She asked. "What were you thinking when you were writing it?"

He looked up. "I was thinking about how I couldn't lose you. I didn't want you to be in danger. I wanted to tell you something so that I won't be forgotten. I wanted you to remember that I was good to you," he said quietly

"Do you honestly think I would have forgotten about you?" She asked softly. "The letter... It meant so much even though it was depressing... You cared about me. That's all I care about."

A smile played across hs lips. Hope reached out and took her hand again. "I'm sorry it sounded so depressing it just one of my fears clawing to the surface. "

She shook her head. "It was a grim topic." She held his hand and smiled slightly. She kissed him softly on the top of his head.

He caught her face planting a small playful kiss on her lips. He pulled away holding back slightly.

She smiled at him. "You wanted to kiss me?" She asked him softly.

He smiled a bit. "I always want to. I just found the chance to," he said staring at the door.

She nodded and then kissed him long, gently... It was just their lips combined which meant the world.

He kissed her back then pulled away after awhile. He still felt slightly betrayed. He just let them be. They were close he laced there fingers together.

She held onto his hand and then stared at the door. "Do you think that the one I killed might have scared the others off?"

"I doubt it, I think you just angered them. " he stared at the door as something shook it. He gripped his knife

She quickly held up her hand. "Great... I don't do anything right..." She mumbled.

He put a hand on hers putting it back down. "Let me this time okay?" He said as another tremor shook the door.

"But your injured... You could be killed." She said softly.

"I could get killed anyway," he said.

"Please Kavian." She whispered softly and held tightly onto his other hand. "I just got you back and I don't want to loose you."

He looked back. "What makes you think I don't want to lose you?" He asked standing.

She was quiet as she saw him stand. She watched helplessly and looked down. 'Don't die...'

The door crashed open. The demons taught like, well like demons. It was a controlled stream so there was less demons at one time but it was a long time.

She flinched and then looked around. 'Weapon. Weapon. Weapon.' She thought as she crawled backwards towards the wall.

He cried out when something clawed open one of his wounds but he kept fighting. Soon enough he worked them all out into the hallway.

She flinched when she heard him cry out. She felt like it clawed her suddenly. She wanted to help so bad, but Kavian would just get mad. She bit her lip and grabbed some shattered glass on the floor.

He killed them all except one. He started to run but Kavian caught him and pushed him up against the wall holding the knife above his heart. "Who sent you?" He asked in there native tongue.

Kim snuck out quietly and made cautious steps before watching him. 'Why isn't he killing the demon?' She thought. She couldn't understand what they were saying.

The demon refused to say anything. He pressed harder. The demon instead clawed him and his grip loosened but he still managed to kill the demon.

She flinched as she watched. "Is that all of them?" She asked softly as she walked out.

His breathing was labored. "Those were just scouts. We need to leave…" he took his hand away from his chest. Blood. He cursed.

She saw and started to panic. "Where should we go? Can we like teleport or something?" She asked him.

"We'll go back in town. The abandoned apartment." He sat down hard.

"How do we get there? Is there anything I can do." She saw him sit down and his breaths were labored. She ran to the kitchen and got a towel. She came back and removed his hand to put the towel on.

He nodded thanks. "We'll- have to- fly" he said. He sopped up as much blood as he could. He needed to clean his wounds he needed to run he needed to fly. He closed his eyes thinking.

"How are you going to fly when you are injured this much?" She asked worriedly. "Is there anyway I can heal you?"

He shook his head. "You've drained enough of your power anyway, we just need to get to cover and hide for a few minutes."

She bit her lip and nodded. "Do you want to lean on me? I can help you get up and out of here." She said as she grabbed a bag and started to stuff in medical things just in case.

He stood up unsteadily and stared out the door.

She put her bag on then put his arm around her when she saw him stand unsteadily. "Okay. First let's walk to a small shelter then fly. Okay?"

He laughed. "Yes that's the plan I just explained about thirty seconds ago," he said as they stumbled out the door.

"I was just making sure." She held him up as best as she could as they walked and felt some blood on her shirt.

He stopped somewhere along the tree line. He gripped a tree and settled down on the forest floor. He still had a great view of the cabin but he doubted someone would be able to see them.

She saw him and bit her lip. "Do you want me to get a towel to put on your wound?" She saw it was bleeding again. She was nervous about everything now.

He shifted a bit so they faced each other. He nodded afraid that if he talked he wouldn't be able to stop. When he got nervous he talked. He didn't need that, he took a deep breath trying to calm down.

She took off her bag and got a towel. She gently put it on the wound and willed her hand or arm to shake. She also got a water bottle out. "Here. Can you drink it?"

He looked up at her and took the bottle. What the heck was he thinking? He shook his head an d hooked down a couple of sips.

She watched him for a moment. 'Is there anything I can do more?' She kept thinking and regretting that all she was doing was soaking his blood and just giving him water.

He bit his lip and smiled. "Your doing great, thank you ," he said noticing her agitation. His wounds had stopped bleeding. He poured some water over them.

She sighed. "I'm trying my best..." She said quietly. "Do you think you can fly now?" She asked softly as she watched him closely.

He nodded. "Yes but first," he looked around. "You got any bandages?" He said.

She looked in her back. "They are small though since that's all I could find." She reached inside her bag and got the bandages.
