That'll be enough. He placed the bandages on ripping the towel to pieces the make sure they didn't fall. He grabbed a branch and hauled himself up.

She quickly helped him instead of letting him hold onto a branch. "There we go." She said holding him up.

He let his wings out. He gently wrapped his arms around Kim's middle. "You okay?" He asked.

She nodded though he shouldn't be worrying about her. "Be careful." She said to him starting to doubt he could fly for long.

He took off. It was unsteady at first but he let his wings glide. He shouted out. He looked at Kim.

Kim smiled slightly relieved he was flying successfully though it faded when she remembered something. "Leaf! What about Leaf?!"

They dropped a bit. He pretended to not hear her. He couldn't think about it right now.

She yelped when they dropped down a bit. "Oh god..." They were going to die. She closed her eyes tightly.

"Hey hey hey. I'm sorry you just scared me. I can do this, trust me." He looked over and could see the apartment in the distance.

She nodded slightly. "Okay..." She said trying to hide the worry in her voice. She saw the apartments and smiled brightly.

He landed roughly but that was to be expected. He lay on the roof breathing hard.

She fell down during the landed and rolled slightly on the roof. She got up and walked over to him seeing he was breathing hard.

He smiled at her. He felt his wounds. They hadn't started to bleed yet. He sighed in relief. "You okay?" He asked.

She nodded and bent down besides him. She saw his wounds haven't opened. 'Finally, something good.' She thought. "Can you stand?"

He nodded and got to is feet. He knotted his hands in his hair tangling it. "Are you okay? How do you feel?"

She rolled her eyes. "Stop asking me questions. We need to get instead." She put his arm around her neck and helped him.

He rolled his eyes but he didn't say anything else. He limped down the stairs and opened the door.

She saw he was annoyed by it, but she didn't want his wounds pushing it any further. "Go sit down. I'm going to find something in my bag."

He closed the door and lay down on the couch. It creaked underneath him. He untapped the towels. The wounds had started to bleed.

She looked up and saw his wounds starting to bleed. She grabbed another towel in her back and pressed it against him. "Okay. Just rest now."

"Rest Kim? I can't rest!" He said desperately. He was worried. He needed a plan.

"Try to rest! I know what your thinking, we need to take action. Not like this. We just need to heal for the moment." She said as desperately as him.

He closed his eyes and tried not to scream. "I can't just sit here. I can't wait"

"You have to!" She said trying to knock some sense into him. "You won't be doing anything, but killing yourself. Then there will be no one to teach me about my powers or protect me!"

"Just back up Kim. Back up. I don't want to hurt you," he said clenching his hands into fists.

She shook her head. "You won't hurt me." She stated simply and firmly. "So get out of your stupid fantasy that you can do something in the state your in!"

"It's no fantasy!" He said turning the other way. He was dangerous. He didn't want anyone to get hurt.

"Don't turn." She said turning him back. "It is a fantasy." She said trying to treat his wounds as best as she could.

He shuddered. His knuckles turned white. "You need to stop," he said nervously. "Please"

She looked at his fist and somehow she got braver. "Fine hurt me. I don't care." She said shrugging it of and still tended to his wounds. "It won't change anything. You are going to stay put."

He opened his eyes. "How do you think those people got killed? How I did it over and over again. I cannot control it sometimes. I do. Not. Want. To. Hurt. You." He said taking her arm.

She watched him for a moment. "I'm not going to leave either." She said looking at him as he took her arm.

"I need you to get off me," he said. He was scared. He pushed her away. "You have to get away from me!"

"Stop!" What's wrong with you? You were perfectly fine before!" She said frustrated.

"Just leave!" He said. He couldn't do it anymore. When he was dependent on someone they ended up dead. She had his protection but he had to make her hate him.

She frowned at him and nodded slightly. She got up and walked away even though she didn't know where to go since she only had seen one room in the whole house.

He waited. He bit down his shouts. Eventually his breathing slowed. He kept his eyes shut.

She sighed and a couple of hours later she walked back to him, but still away from him. She stared at him warily.

He had tensed a bit when he felt her. He wanted to turn around. He badly wanted to turn around. But he didn't.

She watched him and looked down. She walked to the kitchen and started to make him food.

He clutched the couch when she left. He gently turned over so he was looking at the celling.

She quietly cooked and didn't know how much he wanted or if he wanted to eat at all. She bit her lip.

He took out his pencil and put it between his teeth trying to calm down.

She cooked something small and walked back to the couch. "Kavian... I made you some food." Kim said softly.

Kavian gave a quick glance at her and at the food. He wasn't hungry but he nodded his thanks.

She set the food down quietly and then walked away once again. She put her hand in her pocket where the feather was.

He looked at her as she walked away. He was so frustrated. He tried to clad his mind to think of a plan.

She found a bed and sat down on it. She hugged her knees to her chest and willed herself not to cry. She closed her eyes and lowered her head.

He took is pencil and twirled it. He got so lost in thought but finally he let out a barely audible. "I'm sorry,"

She didn't hear him since he was so quiet. She laid down on the bed and thought back to when she first met him. She closed her eyes and sighed softly.
