"Hey if it hurts to stand you can rest." She saw the flicker of pain on his face. She stood up and offered him the couch. "Do you want me too put some ice on you?"

"No it's cold," he said and sat back on the couch. He looked up at her. "You don't have to take care of me," he said gently not wanting to hurt her feelings. "I should be watching over you,"

She laughed and flipped her hair. "The only person there is that needs to protect me is myself. I'm pretty sure I can help protect you as well." She smiled and then brought him some blankets.

He laughed, "Yes but who was the one who saved your butt when fighting those demons today?" he asked a smile on his face.

"I managed to hit two." She said. "While being chocked might I add." She smiled. "It's okay if I help you a bit. Now, I better head off to bed myself. Tomorrow we have to deal with those demons."

He smiled, "Thank you, for letting me stay," He was not used to acts of kindness. He liked Kim. "Really it means a lot."

"Your welcome." She waved to Kavian before walking off to her room. She yawned and changed quickly into her PJs before crawling into bed.

He turned off the light wrapped a blanket around himself and fell asleep watching the tree where he would perch on most nights. He closed his eyes at the comfort of the tree brought him.

She asleep as well and in the morning, she was up early. She walked to the leaving room and looked at Kavian. She smiled slightly at his sleeping state.

Feeling a presence he opened his eyes and rolled to his feet in a defensive position. It was barely a second. He saw Kim and stood. "Um, sorry" he said sheepishly.

She shook her head. "It's alright." She said with a smile still on her face. "It's only natural." She yawned and walked to the kitchen to prepare for breakfast.

He followed her, unsure of him self. "I need to tell you something. It needs to be in a more safe place though." He took a pencil out of his pocket and put it between his teeth.

"Oh. Uh, I'm not sure where a safe place is." She said getting the eggs out and then putting them down on the counter. She turned to face him. "What's with the pencil?"

He tried to talk then thought better of it. "A habit, I don't actually eat the pencil. I just chew on it."

"Alright." She said. 'I wonder where he got the pencil.' She thought. "Where do you think we should go to talk?" She asked.

"Let's go take a walk," he suggested. He didn't answer her question in case her place was already compromised.

She shrugged. "Alright , but be quick because I'm making food. Also I need to change before we leave..."

"Quickly," he said shoving the pencil between his teeth again.

She sighed and decided that breakfast could wait. She changed quickly and walked out. "Okay. Let's go walking."

He opened the door warily. He looked quickly for any threat. He walked out into the bright day. He breathed the fresh air before continuing on.

She wondered why he was being so cautious as they walked outside. "Where do you think is the most secret of places?" She asked.

"A place where no one will take notice. So either crowd or somewhere where no one will ever think to visit. " He sighed as his chest began to hurt from the sudden movements.

"Oh okay. How about we head downtown and find a crowded place there? But, we will need to take the bus there." She said already heading to the bus stop.

He quickly caught up to her and nodded. Then he realized she couldn't see him. "Okay," he said.

She stopped in front of the bus stop along with other people. She didn't want to look insane so she pulled out a scrap piece of paper and wrote, 'This must be very important since I hate going downtown when I don't need to.'

He gently reached into her mind. 'It is I promise you' he said inside of her head. He looked out the window and handed her back the paper.

She put the paper back and got onto the bus. She sat and made some room for him even though it was very hard since it was very compacted.

He shook his head slightly. Then he raised an eyebrow. 'This does not surprise you?' He said inside hr head again.

She shook her head and didn't want to try talking to him through her head. She imagined it hurt a lot. "Not really, no." She whispered.

He was surprised. "Who you talking too?" He asked playfully. He smiled softly because he knew it was himself she was talking to.

She rolled her eyes and looked down at a paper to pretend to be reading. "Never mind." She mumbled. The bus stopped and everyone got out.

He smirked. "Okay, crazy person," he said. "Talking to yourself? That's a new one," he walked slightly ahead of her.

She sighed and didn't comment about anything. When she looked around she sighed slightly to herself. "What do you want to talk about?"

He looked at each and every person before gently grabbing Kim's hand and leading her farther into the crowd. He said nothing.

She sighed and saw they were going deeper into the crowd that was all around. "Kavian... What are you doing?" She moved out of a way of a person.

"Um going through a crowd. " he was confused. What else was he doing? "No one could possibly follow us."

"But—" She was cut off by someone elbowing her on their hasty way out of the crowd. "I don't like crowds." She said tiredly.

"Neither do I," he said. He was pushed into another person but was able to regain his balance. He gritted his teeth and took a deep breath. "We can stop,"

"Yes! We can stop! Come on." She tugged him through the crowd. She stopped when they hid in a alleyway. "Okay. Now can we talk."

"You totally just ruined my plan. The point was to stop in the crowd" he grumbled. He peeked out of the alley and saw no one. "I guess this will be reasonable.

"That's really stupid to stand in the middle of a crowd." She blurted out, but had to admit that it was pretty stupid in her eyes.

He sighed. "The point is-!" He stopped and calmed. "The piont is no one will be listening to our conversation because they will be to busy with their own or something else," He looked at her. "Do you understand now?"

"Yes, but I don't want to stand in a crowd honestly. I will get a lot of bruises." She crossed her arms. "Just tell me here please." She said looking up at him.

"I will if you stop arguing with me," he said irritated.

"Fine. Fine. I won't... Even if it was a stupid idea and I needed to address it." She sighed. "Okay I'm done."

He smirked. "Thank you," He pondered his thought on how he should word this.

She waited for him. Staring at him for a bit until she moaned. "Hurry up."

"Do you remember yesterday when you asked if you were a special case?" He took out his pencil and bit on it.

"Yeah... Why are you bringing that up?" She eyed him suspiciously.

"Some people have guardian angel, but you are still special," He meet her eyes.
