Matt Doyle (mattdoyle) | 5 comments Is there a way to report a post to mods? I'm getting some very odd responses on my last post (https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...). All flagged to Goodreads, but didn’t know if they need to be directed to the mods here too?

Gina LoBiondo (ginalob) | 91 comments Hi, Matt, I saw the "odd responses" you mentioned. Thank goodness they've been removed! These miserable excuses of human excrement have been plaguing Goodreads for at least 2 years that I'm aware of. At least that's how long I've been dealing with them. Their comments and threats have only gotten worse -- now they're using excessive foul language and telling people they should die! It's unreal! And they keep bragging that our laws don't affect them because they're not in the US. A few months ago they told me they were going to give my info to to all the Nigerian scammers they know! Oi! They think they're scaring me but all they're really doing is pxxxing me off! I pray every day that they get caught somehow because this is really getting out of control! Anyway, your werewolf book sounds really interesting -- I hope to read it one day when I have time. Sadly, my "To Read" list is about 2 dozen books long and counting! Have a wonderful new year. All the best, Gina =)

Matt Doyle (mattdoyle) | 5 comments Thank you Gina. I did find it amusing that they threatened to send my details to a digital marketer, mind you. That was a bizarre threat to make!

Gina LoBiondo (ginalob) | 91 comments I love when they do a threat and end with "Ok?" Hahaha! um, no, it's not okay you stupid loser!!!!! :-D

Matt Doyle (mattdoyle) | 5 comments LOL. It was bound to happen to me eventually. I have a terrible habit of messing with email scammers, so someone was always going to make dumb threats at some point.

Gina LoBiondo (ginalob) | 91 comments I just wish they could have met my paternal grandmother -- oh, boy, she was a real firecraker! She passed when I was 7 so I really didn't know her except as "the other grandmother" but she would make mincemeat out of these amateurs! Hahaha! :-D

Thank goodness it's not just me. I'm a newbie to Goodreads and have received horrible comments that really frightened me.
Here's an example: Douse yourself with a bottle of kerosene and finish yourself! If your review solicitation activity here does not stop, we have harsher medicines for you; trust us, the right dose will surely kill your Goodreads addiction FOREVER. We will force you to make for the EXIT by hook or by crook! Don’t forget that we have access to your entire profile information here AND a copy of the book file you are asking reviews for. You can imagine how much damage we can do to you. We don’t want to, so we are asking you nicely again, STOP soliciting reviews here and forget about Goodreads. This is our site and only our paid customers are allowed to promote book here.

Nope, not just you. It's unfortunately common at the moment.
