It's not just that author ... I've sent them requests to add various authors with long-running series and I've never heard back.

I've read the first and second books in the series and they were pretty good. I'm waiting on the third one going down in price

I found the first two books in italian, my first language, but the third is not translated yet. I can read it in English or wait. I'm looking forward to see how the story will continue, so even in english it's good!

hopefully it will soon. I'm upset about Licia Troisi's books that were never translated. I have the first three books in Chronicles of the Overworld and the other books were never translated. Unfortunately I don't read Italian...just a little French

Pinkerton agents Phil and Jane #2 ...... France, mostly Paris, 1923. The Pinkerton Detective Agency has been hired to investigate the supposed murder/suicide of a wealthy Frenchman and his German mistress. So Phil and Jane go to France to do the investigation and along the way encounter Ernest Hemingway and Gertrude Stein, among others. I loved this fascinating, witty, and altogether wonderful mystery. Highest recommendation, 5 stars.

Finished The Noh Mask Murder this morning and for me it was a meh. What I really disliked is the speed at which everything happens here -- it was like "and then, and then... " It was definitely twisty but on the whole just fell flat for me. No suspense, really. I'll be watching the film based on this novel later today.

On the other hand, I thought Kiss the Blood Off My Hands (1940) was quite good. The premise is that a man who kills another guy in a pub runs off to get away from the people chasing after him after that happened and ends up forcing his way into a woman's apartment. He doesn't hurt her but later after he leaves he wants to see her again because he's fallen for her. That one is twisty as well. I watched that movie (with Burt Lancaster) late yesterday, and while the powers that be changed the story more than a bit it was pretty good.
