Inspired by Charles Dicken's David Copperfield, Demon Copperhead is a coming of age story about a Virginia boy who's born into poverty and has something like a cursed life.

Excellent novel. 5 stars (if you know me, you know I don't often rate books 5 stars. 😊)

By the way, the new GR notifications system completely sucks.

Just make sure you check the "notify me when people comment" box. I don't what the powers that be were thinking when they made this change to no email notifications, but as far as I can see, nobody is happy with it.

The Cellist (Gabriel Allon, #21) by Daniel Silva
⭐⭐⭐
For first time readers the rating would be 4 stars and above.
For series readers like me this story is Similar to books in the series. Thriller.
Read as a fan of the series and the hero Gabriel Allon.

Series needs some unpredictability to rejuvenate.

Araych | 677 comments Too Many Bullets Too Many Bullets by Max Allan Collins by Max Allan Collins

Nathan Heller #19. In this latest book from Collins his hero Heller examines the assassination of Robert Kennedy in 1968. Everyone, including me, knows that Sirhan Sirhan was the lone murderer. Except maybe he wasn't. This amazing book examines in detail that terrible event and comes to some extremely interesting and unexpected conclusions. Collins has done his homework and the book, like all in the series, prints his bibliography and research sources. This book just blew me away. Highly recommended. 5 stars.
